Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg |

| Quote: king of the shed "Here's the 19-man squad, and sadly nothing's changed, the U-20's lads waits continue.
Patten, Boughton, Gleeson, Moon, Williams, Holdsworth, Smith, Jewitt, Howarth, Neal, Ashurst, Adamson, Wild, Sidlow, Paleaaesena, Boyle, Nero, Owen,James.
How James has kept his place in the squad amazes me!'"
Because we're scared of change and scared of bringing the kids in for some reason. I can't understand the reason behind picking the same plodders week after week. Neal was awful against Warrington and was just as bad against Wakefield U20's last Friday.
James, Neal, Sidlow, Boyle......deary me.

| If that is the squad then we'll have to win without the leading try scorer.
Gibson must have been another one playing through the pain barrier/while not 100% fit.
The players should be thanked,really.
I don't think even the best players in the world can perform at their maximum in every game.
Quite pleased the youngsters aren't exposed to any undue criticism as it may not just affect their confidence,
but their career if it is bad enough.
I hope the crowd stay with the players for the full 80.In the last Bradford performance the Bulls came back and won after being 16 points to nil down.

I think that's the point, if PV or Longy came out and said [i"we're giving a couple of our U-20's a run out in he first team this week so please give them all your support and if they make mistakes please remember that they're just making their way in the game so stick with them"[/i I think the educated ones on the terraces (getting fewer and fewer I know) would understand and give them credit for what they do do instead of what they can't. Sadly with experienced players that can't be allowed.

We wouldn't need PV and Longy to tell us in the first place.

I don't think the youngsters would be subject to such criticism. In fact I think everyone will appreciate they're young and give them a chance. I honestly think they need to be given a chance, look at the Hull KR game last season when Marroitt and Davidson came in they played well and we've never seen them again, why? Sneyd also played and scored in that match.
The problem with our pack is most of them just aren't good enough. They're plodders, so I agree it's not worth getting on their backs during the game because it's not their fault they're being picked. James must honestly be one of the worst defenders in the league for the size of him. How he continues to get a shirt week in week out is beyond belief.

| Looking forward to it.. apparently we've sold out of allocated tickets, so we should have a good following.
Think it will be a good game.

| Well it appears that although both teams couldn't keep hold of the ball one side had a little help, this from the BBC website
Burgess' controversial try nine minutes from time looked like a telling score, as Shaun Ainscough looked yards offside when he collected Jeffries' kick to put Burgess over and Gale converted to make it 20-16.
Referee Richard Silverwood allowed the try to stand, to Salford's fury, but Broughton struck back after Oliver Elima was sin-binned.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Salford coach Phil Veivers said is the biggest understatement of the year. The players say the touch judge called offside and the ref didn't give it, which makes one wonder. I thought we were playing Aussie rules at one spell.

I get a little worried when our coach starts blaming the ref everytime we don`t win.Maybe he needs to look a bit closer to home.

| Bit childish commenting on the ref. Must be hard to spot everything in horrible conditions and there were a few dodgy calls both ways.
Tbh I thought you were the better side through 80 mins, but still felt unlucky to get a point as I thought we'd had it after Burgess's 'try'

| Yes some will say I'm too negative blah blah blah, but the real fans will understand. Today was a joke, Ryan Boyle should hang his head in shame, disgraceful. Another winnable game thrown out the window, Red army
