| Some people will always find something to complain about no matter how privileged they are, while others who can’t afford the car park, will park somewhere else and walk without complaint or care.
The club have laid on transport from the Willows and Trafford Centre (for £1)!
But im guessing some people wouldn’t be happy unless a limo fully loaded with drink and food, driven by the club captain picked them up before the match and dropped them home after the final whistle.
Can I ask what areas the complainers will be driving from?

BF I have done just that for the Leigh game, very easy it was as well.
Will decide which park and ride to use later.Might even use normal bus service eventually.
I am intrigued over the number of people who take getting something for nothing as the norm.

Can you point out where TangerineDream has had a go at you to warrant the abuse you doled out above?

You're comparing the use of a message board with the historic battle for free speech? Just take a read of the AUP. We're very easy going with the moderation of this forum compared to others, but last night you appeared to be name calling and wishing physical violence left right and centre. I'm hoping you had a night on the pop and that you've calmed down now. We've absolutely no problem with people arguing different points, but if people can't argue reasonably then they are very welcome to find another forum you threaten and swear at each other for no apparent reason.

| Perhaps my comment deserves a thread of its own but it is more than tenuously related but apologies in advance if I'm deviating a tad too much.
Just wondered what the fans think of installing cycling routes to the stadium from existing cycle paths in Salford/Trafford Centre/due west of the stadium, through Sustrans (the charity that funds the national cycling network and is largely resonsible for all the new cycling lanes that have popped up over recent years)?
Of course, this would require the installation of some secure posts which bikes can be locked up to. Well, that's unless there are some suitable railings nearby?
Dear mods, feel free to change this comment into a new topic. Cheers.

Yes, indeed. With a booking fee on top of the rental cost 'ey.
Yes, from April onwards it should be relatively pleasant cycling down to the stadium with plenty of waterways and a little green space en-route from most directions. Furthermore, I'm sure there are incentives and accolades dished out to companies who encourage green forms of transportation that coincidentally also help combat the obesity epidemic.

Port Vale FC actually incentivise admission at Vale Park by offering a discount to people who cycle to games (they have an on site bike shed and workshop) and people who walk from certain park & walk schemes.

Yes, I remember you saying now (I knew someone had said this to me before). Of course, I can't imagine the incentive of discounted tickets being at the forefront of the club's mind but that said, cycle paths would help to combat traffic congestion, perhaps encourage more families to attend (although they'll need headlights for sure) and would be great PR material.

| If your going to try and get people to cycle to the stadium you'll need a change in tack than that shown by the powers that be at Salford council towards security.
As I said the other day on a different thread I had my bike knicked from outside Fit City Eccles and the lack of interest and some of the comments from council staff about it led me to think they couldn't care less about security (comments like your stupid bringing an expensive bike to Eccles and telling me that putting a sign up to warn customers that bike theives are opperating would only advertise the fact there is a problem).
You'd need to get the gate at the rear of the stadium open to allow customers to get down the canal and offer a very secure location to store the bikes.
