Quote: The Chair Maker "For his age he is outstanding. The key is how he progresses at Salford were he should get more game time.
He has the potential to be a top notch backrower. Certainly possesses the size pace and handling ability. Just needs the physical maturity to start punching holes in defences.
As a guide of how good he could be, as youself how many other 21 year old backrow forwards have already played over 50 first grade games.
I suspect he has moved because he wants to make the step up, and thinks that at Saints he might be held back a bit due to being seen as merely a squad player because of the more experienced players such as Soliola and Wilkin who are infront of him.
There is also the not inconsequential matter that Saints have a number of very high quality young backrow forwards coming through who would undoubtedly demand to get given their chance.'"
Spot on...He wants to play Rugby , that's the be all and end all of it , he's a talented lad who has seen his amount of appearances held back under the present coach, even missing out on reserve grade games because he has been chosen as 18th man for senior games
and therefore travelled with the first team, i'm sure he will go from strength to strength at Salford , i just hope that they can build a team that will challenge for the play-offs at the very least,if they do i'm sure he will shine and show his talent.
I also agree with you about the lads coming through , as a Wigan fan i think both Saints and Wigan are always going to have many talented lads who they have to let go(and get criticised for) because the sheer amount of them that come through is too many to hold down a first team spot.
