| Quote: Michigan red "Cashmere's going?? that would be a disaster if true as head and shoulders he's our best forward by some distance and without very deep pockets we'll struggle to find anyone with his caliber and impact. Where have you heard this??
Think we'll be looking for a big barm storming centre, an inter change hooker and another prop (maybe two if what you say above is correct).'"
I've only heard about it from another thread on here, hope it's not true! Thought with Parrish coming though, it'd be an incentive to stay.
With the new stadium and (hopefully, probably not) an extensive playoff run under our belts, we'd be an exciting prospect for any potential signing.

| Whilst Cashmere has had a great season so far my concerns would be whether he was the best we can sign for the outlay. Overseas players cost more in airfares, housing etc so if our budget is limited I would be happy for the board to hopefully sign a younger hungry forward. (no names spring to mind though)
Lets hope Parrish is already doing his homework and looking who to keep and where we can get a better deal.
I expect a few players to be on the way out and maybe we need the money to replace Ratchford, lets face it you can never have enough utility backs can you

Still not heard anything about Cashemere and I don't read posts or threads like the other Cashmere one, do hope it's not true as think we'll miss big Ray more than most. Look what Hull KR payed for Mason and can anyone say that they got a better player for the inflated money?. Think in Cashmeres case it is definately a case of better the devil you know.

| Not a rumour and if there's an ounce of truth in the Cashmere story, how about the Aussie veteran Luke Bailey? The guy has been immense in a very poor Titans side this year. A great leader in the pack. Does everything a prop should do plus he chases every loose ball, tracks back on every opposition half break/break and plays lengthy spells for a prop. Much like Cashmere but arguably a tad better?

I'd go for that for a year or two as he is class but props of his age tend to still be of great interest in the NRL.

| I think the situation is that Cashmere would like to stay, so he can play in the new stadium, but his wife is homesick. Can't blame him for putting his family first. Nothing confirmed as yet though, so lets keep hoping.

| Looks like Andrew Ryan is back on the SL radar! And with Holdsworth & Patten on your books I'd say you would be his preferred option?

| Shannan McPherson second rower from Souths said he's coming to super league, few people mentioning him. Possibly as a Bailey replacement

| Mcpherson has stepped up in recent months with Asotasi and Burgess on the sidelines with injuries. He looks like a committed forward who works hard and would do a job. I cant imagine hes on a big salary at Souths as a squad player so I imagine he would be a value for money purchase.
Ryan has had a very career in the NRL with Canterbury but coming over here at the age of 33 you are not going to get the best out of him.

You say that but he hasn't missed a game for the dogs through injury since 2005 , that in itself speaks volumes .
