| Even though he wants to continue coaching in Super League, he absolutely loves it at Wakey, and it would take a big offer to prize him away. In recent interviews, he has continued hinting that he will sign a new deal by discussing how much he is enjoying himself this year. And also, when we had a fans forum at Belle Vue, I am sure that he said its upto James Elston (Chief Exec) and Andrew Glover (Chairman) to offer him a new deal because he is ready to sign it (or something of that sort). Andrew Glover will do EVERYTHING possible to keep him at Wakey, and we all know that Glover has the money to offer him a decent pay package, therefore, I hope that he will sign a new contract as soon as possible.

| The way i see it in a few months time there are going to be at least 4 super league head coaches positions available,(if salford dont appoint someone before the season ends),namely salford, hudds, pies and dull.Clearly Nobby,Kear,Millward and several other convicts names are going to be thrown into the bag!I do think realistically though that regarding the head coaches position at Salford it will be sorted within the next month and with the power and string pulling capabilities that father ted has,we are more than likely to have an Aussie on board than Mr Kear!

| Though i,ve never been a big fan of Nobby, you have to admit he did a great job with the welsh at the begining of last season. Why not as a short term contract, then perhaps look at hunte or somebody of that ilk.I do nothing but complain about the influence of the Aussies in our game, and with 3 years before the next franchise nonsensemaybe we might just find that young English coach we are all hoping for.

| I'd favour an experienced coach with SL experience. We need someone who can offer more than innovative ideas.
As for Lam, a top bloke. You couldn't meet a nicer bloke IMO. He has experience at a number of clubs and appears to be ambitious. However, I think we need a bit more than that.
Anyone remember Kurt Wrigley playing for the opposition at The Willows? He was a clever player.

| As far as it's been reported , Phil Veivers is the only person who has definately said he has put in for the Job , not even Kurt Wrigley who has been mentioned as Salford top target .
There are only- 16 Top grade Coaches Jobs in the NRL & at Present 14 in the ESL , Salford are one of those top 30 Jobs. That's a pretty elite Job !
The previous 5 Coaching appointments made at Salford have all happened mid season with the Club ' in Crisis ' , the last time it was offered to a Guy who had only come over to do a bit of Sky Punditry...
Again we have Radio ,Trade Press & Forum's ramping up the Salford in Crisis senario and I don't want Salford's next choice of Coach to be "yet another one we will live to regret ..."
So if we have to wait until the end of the season in order to secure the right person so be it , it's one of the best Job's in the world !

with over 20 assassination attempts and 4 actual "hits", I suggest being a Salford coach is a touch safer.
Mind you G W Bush as head coach does take a bit of ...

| Andrew Dunneman has been linked in the MEN as well as Graham Murray, Daniel Anderson, Jim Dymock and Rick Stone so it looks pretty obvious that we are going down the Aussie route. Adrian Lam wasn't mentioned this time but Dunneman has got the old imagination going, good shout I reckon and he will have the support of the fans straight away IMO. Out of the others mentioned maybe Daniel Anderson would be a great shout given his record with Saints. Still would be Lam for me but Dunneman could be a PR masterstroke as well as a coaching masterstroke!!
