We were beat by a well drilled and coached wire side, that is what happend! poor salford, very poor! thought we were dire today, and everyone that says, but we hamered the bulls last week they were worse than us today, probably the worse team we had played since wakefield , thought the shed was quiet today aswell, not much to sing about granted but we were still in the game after 15 mins.

In the first 20 mins the game was up for grabs, as Wire were poor ( by their standards) but Salford were just as bad, hardly completing a set. If we had any chance of even making this match a contects, we had to punish them then. We didn't and Wire had 3 more gears to go up in the second half.

We should only look back on the things we can control. We have no control over Warrington's ability, they are far better than us. But we do have control over our own possession of the ball - that can be improved upon, and must be, if we intend to compete.

Was not expecting that.. We were ruthless in both attack and defence today. On the forward pass i thought it was a tight call and wouldn't have complained had it been given but the ref was in a good position to judge.

I, in shirt, went into me local in Rochdale as soon as I got home. I accepted we were trounced but what hurt was one of the locals woks at the station and was impressed by the number of Salford fans she had seen going to the match. Please come again.

Thought our try was a little forward myself, but like you, i wasnt in the best position to judge, thought wires second try was a mile forward but was given, but dont think it made any diffrence to the game, appart from the nil that is well beat , and well deserved win for the wire.

fitness was also a big key factor today i thought,fair play to wire,it was deffo men against boys out there for most of the game,lee briers is awesome still !

I can see what you're saying but don't agree.

I think Wire's superior play (attack and defence) was far more tiring for us in the first 20 than it was for them, and hence we were far more tired for the remaining 60mins.

Defending is far more tiring than attacking so we were inevitably going to struggle in the second half but, as Wire were rarely without the ball, we didn't really get to see how fit (or unfit) they really were.

That is exactly what Tony Smith has been trying to drill into the team - you can win a game early and score points late, one folows another if you lay the groundwork. I actually think you have some pretty good players but we wore you out today and were then able to put the game to bed. We've done that to a number of teams this season - you'll bounce back.

I could be wrong but I'm sure we had a fair bit of ball first half but we just didn't do anything with it, knocking on in the first 2/3 tackles far too often. To be fair Wire were excellent, too big, fast. strong & skilful in every dept. Feck me they've got a big pack! They are a top team however they have quire a few b*ll-end fans which is a tad annoying, It's amazing how Wire can get d1cked off Hudds who then get d1cked by Crusaders the week after Crusaders get d1cked by Wire . I'm feeling very uneasy about Tuesday now and fear a major Hudds backlash

Exactly. They did the same to Celtic last week and it was pointed out on boots ball. I won't harp on because I've posted t before. But last week Warrington beat Celtic without scoring a point.

Why is it though we never just get beat???? when we lose(which is most weeks lol)we always get bettered and never just get beat by a try or 8-10 points!!we just simply give in,perhaps it maybe worth the super league having a look at the bonus point system??? thoughts??

We were beaten by a better team in the end, but Warrington were beatable. They only scored when we gifted them field position, either through unforced errors or silly penalties. That meant we were doing all the defending so we tired in the last 15 mins, hence the rush of points.
Everything we did well last week just disappeared. The half backs didn't take on the line, there was no offloading, no support play and the ball rarely got out wide.

in fairness, about 3/4 seasons ago we were frequently beaten by 1-7 points:
different team tho!

and now we are frequently beaten by between 20-60 points lol...ahh well the joys,we will all be at shudds on tuesday,least one thing in our favour is them getting beat today too!
