Although I am still worried by some of the things going on at the club at the mo, I can't tell you how happy I am to get off the starting blocks finally with a win today! I'm also glad we got a good few points on the board after shipping so many in the first two games. A hard few weeks are in store for us but i'm happy we've got a win under our belts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact what have you lot won for the last three years.Only reason your not in the Championship is due to a ridiculous concept called Super League.Most true Rugby supporters including many Red fans would agree teams should be judged on playing merit not balance sheets ( although Salfords isn't that strong)and reports.!!!

Whether you judge us on playing ability or otherwise, we returned to Super League as champions and have never finished in last place since returning. So in the words of Edmund Blackadder, sod off!!! I wish Swinton all the best, though.

We were good today , fluent in attack and hard in defence (admittedly against an avergae WTW team) Cashmere was phenomenal and I really think Matty Smith at 9 works well. Hopefully we can Keep Stef and DH at 6 and 7 for a bit as I think Smith is relishing hooking role. Only my second SL away win following Salford so a nice day !

Great away day, great defence, good attacking options, Cashmere was immense, Matty Smith seemed to have his best game at number 9 for a long time, Ratchford was my Man of the match will be interesting for next week selection.
For the first time today we seen what Luke Patten offers us in an attaching situation, coming into the line feeding off Holdsworth was great to see, we had plenty of options in attach.
The game was set when in the first couple of minutes Cashmere off loaded in the tackle, this ended up with us scoring & setting the tone for the match.

One note of caution, Wakefield played some of the younger players & at times it shown, Having said this you need to put these away, good luck to Wakefield for the rest of the season, nearly 7000 at the match, maybe Salford you need to look at the casual supporter, charging £20 we will not have many takers.

Arrived home a happy man. It was such a relief to see a much improved performance.
I'm now hoping that we turn up next Friday and at least make a game of it.
