| [url=http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/rugby_league/s/1409128_shaun_mcrae_i_wont_quit_salford_reds'I won't quit'[/url says McRae. Hardly surprising really, we all know it'll take him actually being sacked or his contract expiring before he's gone.
I wonder how much about receiving text messages of support from the players and the 'togetherness' in the dressing room actually holds true, considering the product on the field certainly suggests this is anything but the case.

| I did find it odd reading that article that players would text him offer their support - doesn't he see them everyday as part of his role as coach.......?

| Not much new in this story. Swap Macrae with Ashcroft, Tamati, Jack, Gregory, Mccormack, Harvey, Harrison and it could have been written every two or three years for the last 20 years.
One thing that did surprise me though was the buy out by the RFU.....
"Chairman [iJonny Wilkinson [/iwill be away but McRae’s pledge to stay and battle through will not have gone unnoticed within the boardroom"
Presumably our new chairman is away on England duty. No wonder the management of the club has collapsed!!

As i said i know what you are all saying , but i think once you get a full squad to choose from you will do OK ,i think you have a decent Squad this year ,time will tell , i think you will beat Wakey on Sunday.

liking your new avatar , would make a great badge !
the only togetherness I've seen from out team so far is when they're all behind the goalposts after conceding yet another try

| "I won't quit "
Is this a quote from McRae or Colonel Gadaffi ?
Quote I won't quit no intentions of resigning – that is not my style.'"
Yep we've realised
Quote I won't quit immediately after Friday’s defeat by Saints I received a number of text messages from players expressing their support for me and their concern'"
Eh ? why not in the dressing room to your face ! unless there are factions & disagreement ..
Quote I won't quit Bringing in a new coach may appease many supporters, but many of Salford’s problems appear to be beyond McRae’s domain'"
Is this conjecture or plain slander ?
He should have been shown the door after his comments post Crusaders Game in Cardiff. Why are the Club procrastinating? The longer this situation goes on the worse it will get.

| I have been told by a very high up source in the club that they are well aware of how the fans feel and that the board will continue to monitor results and performances! From this I can only deduce that there will be no change of management following sundays win. That leaves us with only a few options as I see it.
Obviously we all want the team to beat Wigan on friday night which will further strengthen McRae's position, therefore:
1. Do we protest before, during and after the game so as to make the board realise that just a couple of good results makes no difference to our assessment of the situation?
2. Do we support the team the same way as we have always done and keep shut if we win?
3. Do we support the team the same way as we always have done and protest if we lose?
Of course the second 2 will result in the board assuming that we are all a fickle bunch who change our minds depending on results, whilst option 1 would result in the players maybe not getting the backing they need against Wigan! I am a bit at a loss what to do? I truely don't think McRae will be here beyond his current contract regardless of what the results are this season.... so what do people think?
