Godwin should start the leigh game now in the hooking role?

9 Godwin (or Owen with "Wagga" on the bench)
10 Boyle

11 Sidlow
12 Parker

13 Wild

With anyone else fit and in the country on the bench. Sneyd and Owen went well at the back end of last year so could be a big year for them. They may get plenty of time in this match (although they'll be keen to give Godwin a run out to get him used to the team)

According to the Leigh website, only a substantial amount of snow before Monday will prevent this fixture going ahead. Unfortunately, according to the Met-Office, there's heavy snow forecasted for Sunday night. However, the Met have been a bit premature with their snow forecasting of late. I should know; I have a rather expensive snowboard gathering dust due to a lack of the white powdery stuff. (Not that kind of white powder...Tut)

I'll monitor the forecasters over the next 48 hours (Yeh, I love Christmas THAT much) and I'll keep you all posted.

I for one am a massive fan. Especially of home grown talent. And a nice chap off the pitch.

He's one of the most excting up and coming talents we've seen in a long time and i think if he gets game time and experience then he'll develop well. At the moment he's a diamond in the rough but a clever lad on the pitch. I remember watching his brother at Bradford in the challenge cup (quarters/semis not sure) in 2006. He stopped vinakolo* dead in his tracks on the wing and it was only lukes 5/6th game under Harrison which tool some doing a true hunger for the game. And hes become a true asset. A brick wall in defence an top tackler all bar 2 games in 2009.

And then I watched Toby do a similar thing in his debut agInst HUD. A ball steel one on one with man of steel Brett hodgson..... He reminds me of a young Gareth hock. Strong skilled and hungry. One to keep your eye on anyway. And one Wigan are keeping a very close eye on so RL weekly says.

So glad for him like you say such a nice lad, i was lucky enough to be part of the coaching team at leigh east that coached him when he played in the national youth league when he was 17/18 had a feeling then he could go on to better things.

All the same, getting to Leigh from Salford or further afield could prove difficult with British standard road clearing in operation. 5cm and the place shuts down. Hope not!
