I thought he was a great bloke, a good businessman and reporter, done alot for both manchester and salford, e.g look at what he did for the hasienda in town, i mean he didnt even make any money off the place, he kept it open purely for the people of Manchester to enjoy and keep the city on the map, i mean people came from all over the country to go there, he was also responsable for bands such as the happy mondays New Order and even the sex pistols! Plus when being interviewed he always got the (actually im from salford just up the road) in just like all other salfordians do when asked where their from, a proud salfordian and the sort of person we want more of to put our great city on the map!
