Patten is almost certainly coming to Super League but the same Bulldogs fans think he is going to Huddersfield, so after all the speculation and rumour, it would appear we are signing nobody. :S

Touché. Although there was speculation and rumour about some other players, who have now signed/resigned. Also there is virtual confirmation in 2 Aussie newspapers saying that Ryan is staying with Canterbury. So now it seems like Patten will be coming to either us or Huddersfield and it seems more likely that he'll go to Huddersfield, even if we do have Holdsworth to tempt him.

Gower seems to be getting 'good raps' from the West Tigers fans, but just not getting a game. I agree, he would be a good 'non quota' signing.

On the bright side, it's great news (IMO) about Jewitt staying on for another 3 years!

Couldn't agree more, we do have an incredibly youthfull squad we I do fear is that we run the risk of not having a rudder for the ship, both those potential NRL recruits would have offered that.

I said it after Friday I would be exstatic if we got Gleeson from Wigan as watching last week he was there most vocal player on the pitch and would be an ideal replacement for Talau and the voice of experience that the younger players need.

My only worry on him would be the alleged reputation he took from Warrington, & Maguire dropped him a few weeks ago & when asked on radio was he injured, he said it was for a club disciplinary reason?????
As you point out he appears to be a leader on the park, but young lads can be easily led & would hate it to happen of the park with our young guys.
