| A big name signing would fail because we don't have the tactics to exploit any talent. It would be the same boring gameplay and the highlight of game would be the countdown clock finally reaching 0.
The only big name signing that would improve things would be a top coach and that would have to be an Aussie as there are no Brits that fit the bill.

| I see where your coming from on this as I have myself wondered why we have possibly missed out on some chance signing.
Gareth Raynor being one although not a crowd puller
But if were mentioning name's could you imagine what the crowd would be like for a signing like jonah Lomu who is playing 3rd tier union in france

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

That's the kind of player I was trying to come up with. Not many around though.
Reckon Jonah would fancy signing for us in the RU off season?
Can't see him doing anything for us on the field, but could be a good publicity stunt?! (a la Dwain Chambers)

Why could he not do anything on the field ? he's only 34 same age as Talau
and playing a girls game so he wont be carrying any injurys
Someone like that could be massive for the club

Think if got them two in we'd have half a chance of beating the Crusaders in the return fixture as surely Gareth Thomas would have other things on his mind
To be serious I reckon someone like Lomu would be a coup, on the playing front i've always suspected he would take toleague like a duck to water and even in the wendyball obsessed Manchester media Lomu would still make the right sort of headlines and would only ever increase the profile of the club nation and world wide.

| Jason Robinson as coach if Sale decide to bin him when they get relegated
If/when the new stadium comes along I'd love to see someone like him at the helm. I'm pretty sure we'd have a far more exciting team to watch if he was in charge.

Yes, Sale are exactly that " a half-decent team" when they have a full team on the pitch. I read today that Sale currently have 25 players out injured . Surely this (& international call-ups) may have something to do with their league position? Don't think you can pin all the blame on his shoulders. He is a household name & (from what I've heard) a very knowledgeable person. I'm sure there are probably a few Turkey readers that can tell me otherwise though.
