Not seen much of this guy playing so can't comment on that. With regards to the drink driving, whilst I believe it is wrong to drink drive we do not know the circumstances (ie he could have had one half too many and only been slightly over - still wrong I know but hardly a hanging offence). If he gets his licence back in November/December he has almost served his ban and therefore been punnished. The question we need to ask is has he learned his lesson and none of us can answer that question. So lets try not to get on the lads back before he has even signed let alone played. There are players in this league convicted of far worse who will be pulling on an England shirt in the not too distant future so lets give the lad a break eh?

I honestly don't know why people always seem to speculate on players future performances by judging their past ones. There are plenty of players that have gone on to other clubs after being 'mediocre', 'complete toss', and 'disinterested' to become very good.

The reverse is also the same.

People should judge on what they do once in the shirt and not worry too much about what they have or have not done in the seasons previous. A new club, players, playing style, attitude, money, security etc can do wonders to the way players perform.

I agree i hope that the players who are to sign for salford for next season see the club as a vehcle to achieve success and not just somewhere to lay their hat and pick up a bit of cash.
Teams have different ways of working and perhaps that didnt suit the players needs.
hopefully Simms and Mcrae have done their homework and have recuited players who are hungry to succeed and drive the club on to where it should be competing at the right end of the table.
