Myler did have a quiet game last night from what i've heard. his performance against France last week was down to his forwards playing well he even said that in his interview. Last night our pack was very lightweight were not going to dominate matches with the forwards with Littler and Sibbit at second row, Littler isn't a forward and isn't SL standard and hasn't been for many a year and Sibbit isn't good enough. I would of preferred to have seen maybe Sidlow start at second row and maybe give Thornley a chance.

Thornley had a decent game early in the season at saints and he's not played in the 1st team since has he? Mcrae does make some strange decisions sometimes! Same with Sidlow, plays well 2 or 3 games on the bounce, then is left out for a month or so.

I think you'll find it cost us 3 places in the SL ladder that year and the difference between a home tie in the play-offs and a good hiding at Bradford. Fair bit of lost revenue there me thinks icon_rolleyes.gif

Quote: chrismum "One of the problems of the game here if you ask me. We have a two tier system where games on sky have the option of the video ref. Wrong decisons may or may not have been made last night (I could not get to Hull on a Friday night so I'll not comment on individual incidents) that would not have been made at Huddersfield due to the back up of the video ref. I believe in Australia they have a video ref at every game regardless of it being televised. Is this correct? If so maybe this is the way to go.'"

having a video ref for a non tv game got trialled at the hull derby last season at craven park..but nothing came from it.

i think the cost is what is putting the RFL off, as they need several more cameras to be at every game to get enough camera angles to make it worthwhile.

Thats our fantastic coach for you.
Do you think he will drop Smith for causing a penalty which ultimately cost us a possible point ?
He has his favourites, plays players out of position, and only has a plan A .
Apart from that he is fine icon_wink.gif

Yeah but we could say when Raynor dropped the ball in 2006 for the winning try at the willows makes it 2-1.

I had it on the radio and would like to see the penalty count. I was fumin when Wilshere kicked on the 2nd tackle considering Hulls defence seemed abit dodgy.

I'm getting to a stage now where I'm really fed up of referees decisions costing us, if you look back at this seasons fixtures wheve been on the end of some awful calls. I know people will think I'm just moaning about referees but every Salford fan who watches us every week will know what I'm talking about. It seems to happen more at the bigger stadiums for some reason.

You didn't see the Stanley Gene try last week then. Refs make mistakes even with tv replays its always been the case and always will be.

If your team had tried to play instead of trying to slow us down at the Play of the ball( which you ddint need to do as we are slow anyway) you would have won the game.'"

That makes a nice change as far as I'm concerned, normally we let teams get up and play the ball as quick as they like and allow opponents to slow us right down. Maybe McCrae has also noticed this and we've tried to sort the problem, sounds like it may need some more work though

I'm sorry but despite the incompetance of the majority of ref's in our game you can't blame them for a single one of our loses. It's the 17 men in the team who are responsible for that.
Oh and the coach, his assistants, the physio, JW, Gordon Brown, Hazel Blears and Ignito icon_wink.gif

Same with Hull early in the season, we now seemed to have gone back to holding down for too long and giving away stupid penalties, like you we need to find the medium, Leeds and Saints are masters on this.
