It's not arrogance.
Based off form and home advantage we're expected to win, aren't we?
However, losing to Salford at home can be quite easily done and we won't be suprised if we do.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

That typo really made me laugh - makes it sound like a much nice place than it actually is?!

| I think any Wiganer with half a brain can realise this could be a tough game but in the same breath we must be favourites.
This comp is both clubs only realistic hope of getting to a final so it's the game of the year for both so far.
Salford will give it all they've got and i just hope we match them for effort. If we do that i think we've got a good chance.
I'd also like to see us drop the prices for this game to get as many on as possible.

| I am hoping for a Sunday afternoon game.
We have half a chance of getting to see it as long as the flight from New York gets back to Heathrow on time.

Me too.
Of course we would have all liked gateshead but Saints the jammy buggers have got them and lets face it we would have to beat a so called "better side" eventually if we want to get to wembley so lets try for some optomism. For me this year Wigan have at times been the worst Wigan side I've seen so lets hope that team turns up and the salford team that beat leeds turn up. As long as we put in the hard yards we have a chance. Obviously would have preferred to have been at home especially since now we only have one home match between now and the end of June.
Farrell and Noble looked very smug. I also thought that all were very disrespectful to Gateshead. Dave Woods saying it was as good as a bye for Saints. Maybe so but as a neutral journo surely he should be showing a bit more respect than that. I know its unlikely but how much egg would be on their faces if Gateshead pulled it off.
Here's to a Salford v Gateshead semi

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand

Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

| Woah, chill out. The opinion of one or two deluded Wigan fans does not represent the majority!!

Yep.
Like I say, I wouldn't be suprised if we did lose to Salford. The margins between the two teams is close as it is through out Super League, but home draw and current form suggests Wigan are favourites and it's not arrogant for Wiganers to suggest that....And if Salford do win, they'll have my full support all the way to the final.
I'm really looking forward to the tie. I'm sure it will be a tough game and the 1996 game will be mentioned by all types of media.
Hope to see you all at the JJB.

Saturday is the soccer Cup Final day so it won't be played then - the televised game on Saturday is kicking off after the soccer for that reason.
