Holts Sweet Holts Never Drink on an Empty Head BIGPEV THE ONLY MAN TO GET A REAL INJURY AT THE STOOP:icons39ad_files/4795-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg

can somebody tell me where the game has moved on in the past year as everyone keeps saying, a tackle is a tackle, a kick is a kick, the play the ball is the same, a pass is a pass, and it has not quickened up, the only thing that is different is that there are 14 clubs and not 12 and we are not playing Warrington 4 times which might have been OK this year.
these are just excuses, to cover that Salford have actually gone backwards since KH left with regards defence and tactics, last Monday Stuart Littler stated that there was tackling practise over the weekend which was very intense, it looks to me that by Friday night a number of players had forgot about.

Obviously we can't make massive changes however it must be getting close to time to trying Ratchford at 6, Turner needs to be more involved so should maybe be switched to 13, with Mcgilvray (if fit) and Thornley coming into the backs.

San!
I think you have got it wrong most fan supporting Salford for all these years are realistic, we expect to be at the bottom come the end of the season but the frustration is bore out of a lack of idea from the team.
You must know following Salford we have been up & down a few times but most fans on here will also know we have at least competed in those games & thats where the frustration is coming from.
I am not a boo boy & I will be there following my team but we must see an improvement in the teams performance before we are down to just a few hard core die hards.
I get a little frustrated when a negative view is shown on the forum to be greeted with you know if you don't like it go & support another team at this rate we will have no supporters, we cannot all be wrong?
Fans voicing there feeling are just as frustrated & I don't know of one fan who thinks we were going to be in the top 8 we might have hoped but that all you have following our club

San and BBM.
Red coloured spectacles and all that.
The performances not just this year but last year and when we were relegated are just not up to scratch.
The play is boring, every team knows what we are going to do and the coach does not seem to have any answers.
When people say well go and support someone else that really pi$$es me off.
I know we will not win SL but I expect to be able to watch a entertaining game.
When our sum total of tactics is 5 drives and a kick then something is drastically wrong.
We need a winger, we have two injured but have another Thornley who scored on his debut.
A Wigan lad with something to prove against his home club, what did McRae do drop him, and yes he was cleared to play.
The Aussies are hurting are they well make them hurt more and drop them, as watching them is certainly painful to me.

Just to remind you we let that Donkey Pat Richards lope down the touchline like he was Martin Offiah whilst about £250,000 of rugby player collectively hit him with their handbags, not content with that embarrassment we then let Thomas Leluai dance out of more woeful lunges to plant the ball over the tryline. "we're just a VILLAGE in Wakefield":

Quote: brooky red "i suppose you believe you could so much better? i am fed up with hearing so called supporters booing jeering and generally getting on the players backs. i mean did you really believe we were going to win super league this is a new team in a new league and it will develop over the next year or so, i was stood in front of a guy last night who was just waiting for the players to make a mistake then he could shout (this is rubbish) i saw and spoke to a few of the players after the game away from the ground and believe me they are hurting they are doing everything possible to put things right and our job as supporters is to SUPPORT. ps all the guys were sat around the same table and i can assure anyone there is certainly no problems in the camp they looked very together, so we can now quash all the they dont get on rumours!!!!!

Please let the coach get on with it he knows what he is doing he as the winners medals to prove it.'"
Agreed, we (Cas) were in the same position last year and have seen great improvements this year. Patience, bide your time, it will come.

As far as I can see we only have White, Talau and Wilshere injured or awol who would get in the first team out of the 28 man squad. I also recall quite a few people saying before the season 'the back line looks a bit weak, might struggle if we get a few injuries to any back line regulars'

There is so many reasons that three year argument is utter nonsense. People could accept a tough year if they felt progress was being made but as it stands we have won one game against a team in their first Super League match and have since not been in a game for longer than half an hour. Talk of 3 years indicates progression but we are flat lining fast and any sane person knows it is only gonna get worse. Anyone want to suggest when we will next win a game?

A major difference with Cas and us is that last season they played their younger players in their correct positions ie. Westerman at 13 not in the centres, Shenton at centre etc etc. I'm also quite sure that they didn't, and most probably wouldn't even dream of, play a talented half back on the wing...we've played a dull, unattractive and completely regressive brand of rugby for almost the past 3 years (2nd half of the play-off season, relegation season, last season and almost a quarter of this season)...this is all in a time when the British game has progressed massively (as a spectator sport at least) and fast, exciting rugby is the order of the day - we look to be single-handedly trying to get it back to the dark ages of 5 drives and a kick, only we usually do 5 sh[ii[/it drives and a sh[ii[/it kick - that's if we manage to get through the 5 sh[ii[/it drives in the first place to get to the sh[ii[/it kick!!

And as per Walshovskis question - I personally have absolutely no idea when we'll win our next game, I honestly can't see us beating anyone in SL unless there is massive massive improvement across the board.

I seriously doubt we'll win another game imo.

i have more chance of winning the Euro millions than salford winning another game, that includes all games played in the 3 years we have left at this level, then when we are back in the national league we might win a few there.

Some of the posters on here will be happy with that as next year they'll be claiming we're only two years into a three year licence and we have just put a new squad together, let the second rate aussies get used to the pace of SL and settle in and get off the old and decrepit useless senior players back and get behind the manager, he once won a SL medal with St. Helens......................Repeat one year later cos they'll still be wearing those rose tinted spectacles as their belief in their beloved Salford knows no bounds.

Get a grip will you, action is required NOW, STOP molly coddling them you fools and see it for what it is.

As I say we all cannot be wrong? I took a new potential fans on friday who had never been to a rugby game, he was able to pin point Salford's weaknesses & he does not understand the game, fitness was one point he made, I ended up taking him back into the pub after the game & told him it is normally not this bad! I tell fibs as well.
