| If anyone who has joined in the last week or so attends the meeting tomorrow night, you can collect your membership & F/Reds BADGE .
Will have the new away shirt (which incidentally is FREE) for all to have a look at & then pass your opinion.
Hope to see you all there, & with Alan Hunte being the guest, you will be able to hear 1st hand what we do to support the clubs emerging young talent & physio dept at the club.
Everyone is welcome to join us on the night, & who knows you may become interested enough to join F/Reds. Cheers Shirl.

Got to disagree, all other clubs charge roundabout the same WITHOUT a shirt. The cost of entry to a home game next season will be £18 on the night, so 13 x £18 = £234, thats on the assumption you will attend ALL home games+ you will also pay on top entrance into a 4th round C.C game + complete w/end entrance to Edinburgh games, so £180 for ALL the above + a shirt thrown in looks a pretty good deal to me on what you paid last year.

That's not what I said though is it?
I have no problem with the season ticket offer, in fact as I've said elsewhere its a very good offer but you said the [ishirt[/i was free, which is technically true but only if you buy a season ticket so thus its not actually free. Now if they were giving them away then that would be free (However I doubt I wear that abomination! )

I used to work on a call centre selling motor insurance and if something was free (ie.breakdown cover), it wasn't technically free it was "at no extra cost" so in order to get the "free" item you had to pay the initial fee.
This year I am, only getting the membership cos I'm starting a new job an Jan working shifts so am not getting a "free" shirt, So therefore am allowed to pass judgement on said "free" shirt

| Went to the meeting and joined with my mate. great meeting, i didnt realise what hard work goes into running the Academy, so i take my hat off to Alan Hunte. people who question the running of the club and money not being splashed about should have been there as i would never have expected to hear how much it costs for the Academy, never mind the first team! so i take my hat off to everyone at the club. and the Forever Reds!

Cheers matey
Very interesting meeting as you have posted, you possibly find out info before its released publicly as well at these meetings just need more to help us along the way.
Talking with Chris Holmes, physio, re the de-fib machine F/Reds are going to purchase, was asked if we could fund a "Slide board" for the physio dept at cost of approx. £250 as they are desperate for one.
Said will propose it to members, so if no objections, will give the go ahead.
These small things make a massive difference to the club, glad we can help. Please post to second the proposol. Cheers to all

I agree entirely with your comments CCNo1Fan in every respect and Alan Hunte and all the team that he has around him deserve all the respect that they have.
Fans talk about commitment well last night Alan showed his commitment to the cause and what about Max Wiper who along with his parents have been travelling hundreds of miles a week for years to Salford from Cumbria and back to play for the club for little financial rewards.
Listening to the replies that Alan and the others gave also showed how honest they were which shows what decent people we have within the club.
I also agree that Chritine Holmes should get the item that she has mentioned to BBBM.

Cracking venue for this event. Been to a fair few functions there. Very smart. Facilities are top drawer as well!

| Supporters Direct
Press Release: 19/11/09
For Immediate Release
Scully Signs Up for Supporters Direct
Rugby League legend, Paul Sculthorpe has given his backing to the Supporters Direct Rugby League Challenge Cup, to be held on November 29th in Rochdale.
The former St Helens and GB great will be on hand to present trophies to all of the winning teams in this eight team TAG rugby festival, being organised in association with Rochdale Swarm, the supporters team for Hornets RL.
Sculthorpe, who recently took part in the Carnegie Challenge for the Steve Prescott Foundation, said of the event:
“Rugby league supporters have always been the best fans in the world and they deserve to have a say in the greatest game. Hopefully this event will help to raise the profile of Supporters Direct so they can expand on the great work they already do in football. I’m really looking forward to seeing the teams compete in what should be a fun day out for all.”
Supporters Direct is the umbrella organisation for supporters’ trusts across the UK, aimed at raising the profile of the movement which covers a number of sports, as well as rugby league.
