I'm led to believe that the 12k stadium idea has been thrown out, as the Council will only allow a 20k stadium to be built on the site. But yeah the land issues are holding things up a little at the moment but once they're sorted it [ishould be[/i all systems go.

It has been put somewhere on this board. It's just something to do with the name that the land is registered with. The land has to be changed from Red City Developments name into Peel's name as RCD no longer exist, so it's just a legal matter.

So the Council do own the land, but the registered developer has changed.

Always amazes me how simple things like this drag on.... cross out Red City Developments (or Tipex), and write in Peel Holdings.... Job done... get on with it.

but somebody somewhere would still have RCD on it and 10 months into the build they would spot this and then demand the stadium be demolished because Peel did not have Planning permission and RCD did etc etc etc.

and as i mentioned before solicitors would have to get their % from this.
