| Nice words Anderson, you really think Chase did that on purpose because I don't. As a professional you need to be sending out the correct message, those sounds to me like you are trying to rally your own troops. Bit pathetic really grow up sunshine.

Hoew is wanting to rally your troops pathetic - surely that's part of a coaches job??
Ferres was reluctant to accept Chases apology in the bar after the game - perhaps that's because he thinks it was done on purpose, -being an ex teammate Id hazard a guess he knows him better than many.

I wasn't at the game.As an experienced coach perhaps he should have specified the 2 incidents in preference to what he has said.
He was quite specific in how he wanted one of those incidents disciplined.

| What Rangi did was stupid as Ferres as already tackled but for anyone who jumps on the Anderson bandwagon should look at the RFL disciplinary case ON/249/14 dated 6th April 2014.
Now that was a cheap shot if ever I saw one.

I agree that it's rallying his troops. However, there's more effective and indeed private ways for a head coach to motivate his players. If he feels the need to make himself look like a knob by using the media to motivate it's not really saying a lot for his man-management skills. The other side of this coin is fairly obvious. If a player gets badly hurt tomorrow off either side, it puts Anderson in a position he didn't need to be in regardless of his 'meaning' in the press. In this day of safety first where it's becoming a big deal in our game, Anderson's comments are amateur and unprofessional.
I can't really comment on him as a coach, as I don't watch Hudds every week. What is plain to see, more than any other coach in SL, is that he wears some serious blinkers, and it does him no credit.
It doesn't matter what you think, the media has viewed it as disrespectful. This puts Anderson in a position of his own making if there's an incident.

Don't know about blinkers but when he's got his glasses on he looks like a fat Greg Wallace (Masterchef)

| Nothing wrong with what he said, we do owe you one, you beat us at our place and we want to beat you at yours.
As for the other stuff he wants us to be more physical, that's fine because Salford hammered us in the physical battle at ours... We all know what ranging did to ferres and he is rightly still upset with it
Nothing at all inflammatory about his comments stop being precious

| Measty - very hard to defend a coach who suggested in the media that the RFL should throw the book at Rangi.

Rangi did Ferres with a very cheap shot and has previous over a number of years for doing this not only with Cas and yourselves but he did it when representing England. It didn't take Anderson speaking out about the incident to get the book thrown at him. Ferres was seriously injured, Rangi on plain view to the cameras comes in late for what ever reason he only knows and puts Ferres's ankles is a very dangerous position and on seeing the evidence after reviewing the game the RFL threw the book at him with a 7 gane ban, some would say he got away with it with only getting 7 games.
As for Anderson's comments I see nothing wrong with them, he wants us to be more physical than the last time we played where it was clear we were bullied and we owe you one for the two points you took off us at the John Smiths. Reading anything else into his comments is delusional.

| The main reason Brett Ferres got badly injured in that tackle was due to Junior Sau simultaneously pushing backwards. The tackle he made wasn't a good one but I don't think he set out to injure Brett. Andersons comment are puerile and inflammatory.
Watch most games and there are late tackles when a third man comes in. Tautai did about three in a Sky game about two weeks ago but nobody has come screaming to the media about those!

| If you can't see the difference between what chase did- one journalist described him as a wolf circling his prey- and a third man coming in to help complete a tackle id give up watching the game if I were you.
Chase tried to apologise to ferres after the game- ferres was reluctant to accept that apology- your owner made a big song and dance in the press ( ) about how the two were friends and how he was sorry- your owner publicly tweeted ferres just an hour before they went into the disciplinary- then went in front of the disciplinary and plead not guilty to the charge. If he had shown true remorse he could well be playing tonight....

| Chase got his tackle wrong, no doubt about it, but the intent to deliberately injure Ferres wasn't there. Watch the way the Salford team tackle this evening, more often than not you will see two men up high and then one will come in and take the legs. As mentioned above, the reason for the injury to Ferres was that Junior Sa'u who was also in the tackle pushed him back in the opposition way to how Chase was tackling.
