| Quote: Paul T - HKR "There weren't any surprise signings - you could almost hear the sighs of relief from rival fans - but the one's confirmed are very impressive IMO.
I am unsure how the 12 newbies stack with the rest of SRDs retained squad, does anyone have an updated list?'"
Personally I am pleased that we didnt sign Brett Hodgson - Mullaney a sensible option.

| I'm a Hull KR fan but I think this is all just brilliant for the sport.
I can't ever remember any one individual coming along and really shaking things up as much as Dr. Koukash.
I really like the new club badge and when he's transformed the area around the ground he'll have given your club a legacy that will last at least fifty years.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a tiny bit jealous, but it is good to see one of the so called lesser clubs getting up there.
I'm not even a fan of your club ( as in I'm a fan of another club, not that I dislike Salford!) and I'm finding all of this incredibly exciting.
Amazing, just amazing. Hope you enjoy it.

The development around the site looks fantastic. Are Peel Holdings likely to give this land up however if they think it is a prime development site themselves? This isn't trolling by the way, genuinely interested and I'm not 100% sure of the ownership etc for the land surrounding the stadium..

| I have been told (here we go again) that Peel are not impressed with these plans as they own the land.

It's supposedly owned by a Council/Peel joint venture, and the plots are up for sale. You'd imagine that with the Mayor of Salford at the top table the JV must know something about these plans. It's not as if people are falling over each other to buy/develop land at the moment.

| And of course Salford City Council are the development authority with power to grant or refuse planning to Peel for all their other schemes in the area.
I'm sure there is a deal to be done

| Pretty sure that a company like Peel will see that what the Doc is outlining would be financially beneficial to all parties. Peel get income from land that currently lays idle, they are encouraging further investment in the area and if done correctly generating good publicity for them.
That said I'm sure there is local councilor who will object as it she stands in her attic room on tippy toe and looks through a hubble size telescope she will see the shadow cast only on the summer solstice that will ruin her majestic view.

That's an impressively quick setting up of a meeting and decision making by Peel.
Way to go !

Generally it's Peel's habit to disapprove anything that they didn't think of first.

| Compared with Property Development, Rugby League is a cottage industry.
The Doctors doing a great job but he's dealing with numpties at other clubs, with a few notable exceptions.
Trading blows with property developers is a bit different!
Like Sir Alex taking on Irish bloodstock experts and coming off second best.
The Doctors development plans will need either Peels input,or their tacit agreement.

| On the post about the overseas quota.
I thought the Pacific Islanders were Exempt from the over sea quota.Tongans Samoans and Fijians Were exempt.I have just read as well we are in talk with Sonny Boy Williams and a short term contact might be a real possibility. So this leads me to the conclusion that we mustn't be over the quota.
And just one last point.
If the good Dr could get a decent bus / tram link to the ground this would be very beneficial to us because we all know its been a nightmare getting to the ground using public transport and we really need it to be accessible if we want the crowds to really make a statement an get behind the team.

Still non-fed though, and I think we are at our limit for those unless there are some exemptions.
Of course, Sonny Boy Williams grew-up in Claythorpe so probably wont count.
