Do I qualify for both of those?

From what we have been told Gareth Hock WILL definitely play against Salford in the Cup ,that's 100%certain ,no matter what the Doc says , but Range won't be playing .Charlie knows.

From a legal point of view (and please note IANAL !!) I would guess that the agreement that Hock will not play against Salford is a clause in his settlement agreement to leave Salford.
So if he does play then he, and not Leigh would be breaking that agreement. Being a civil matter then Salford's only recourse would be to sue him personally. Whether that would be just for recovery of the amount he got paid to go or whether there might be further damages might then possibly depend on who wins the game? Were Leigh to win then we might argue that the future income of a cup run has been lost and Mr H owes that to Salford?
Pure conjecture on my part - but interesting times ahead possibly

| Slightly disappointed that we've picked up so many injuries over Easter and subsequent suspensions. Chase and Hauraki will 100% miss the Leigh game, then we will have to wait and see on the fitness of Paterson, J.Griffin and Lee.
Would have been nice to spank them with a full-team out.

Surely better to spank us with a depleted team then, even though the sum total of which is far greater than ours
Tickets flying out at Leigh, hope you guys are doing the same - a 7k gate would look brilliant on TV and hopefully the teams serve up a feast of RL with the ref unnoticed by both sets

Quite true Maurice, it just evens things up and makes for an even closer game.
I was told we had sold 1,000 tickets as of yesterday so half of our 2,000 allocation gone with 2 weeks to go. You can expect a minimum of 1,500 from Salford.

I'm sure Leigh are doing their upmost to persuade Hock to play. Fair enough, why wouldn't they? It's Hock who will be paying the financial damages not Leigh.

| If it's correct that Hock would be personally liable for any financial damages, from his past behaviour, he would not give a tinker's dam. Even if he injured a player and was prosecuted for that, I think he'll continue in that Hock way.

| Hock wont lose a penny, as Beaumont will no doubt agree to cover whatever costs he incurs through legal proceedings. I don't think the money matters to Marwan, it's more about the respect of an agreement that Gaz made. After all, Marwan did nothing but support Gaz 100% through his exclusion from the England squad the day before our opening game and his 9 game ban for striking a referee.
