you mean the HKR that are also 4 million + in debt inside 5 seasons ? , maybe Warrington that have had the benifit of having been gifted a stadium , and all the revenue that that has given them ? , Huddersfield ? icon_lol.gif , don't talk bollox , it took a Stadium , then relegation , then taking a massive chance on Tony Smith , and millions more than JW has put in , and they still can't get fans through the door unless they essentially let them in for free

Try again ?

Ive got nothing but praise for what Mr Davy has achieved at Huddersfield especially with the appointment of Nathan Brown. A wembley appearance and then they kicked on with a playoff spot,a 7000 season ticket haul this year and still counting, and their top 5 contenders this year without a doubt . they should average 9000 next season.

Hull KR dimised last year to all expectations. But considering they were in NL1 not long ago, they seemed to turn things around with the justin morgan appointment.Although a new man in charge now ,they'll average 8000 ish next year easy. They're more than capable of big crowds.

Warrington. They have set the standard off the field in my opinion. Always in the community , schools etc etc....the town breathes rugby league.

So theres a good assumption of bollox for you.

So you have nothing but praise for somebody that has tipped 2/3 times as much in as JW , yes they have increased gates , on ticket prices at a quarter of what they really should be

HKR have tipped in double what you have , and they actually have always had a dormant fan base waiting for top flight RL

Warrington have come a long way since they were getting 4,000 at Wilderspool 10 years ago , the catalyst for that was the new stadium , but they will make double out of that stadium compared to yourselves at Barton on similar gates , and no doubt mr Moran backs up everything they want to do

Still not a plethora of other examples is there ? , try football instead , or maybe RU

Football is a total different kettle of fish. Rugby union is too i imagine due to them having a lot more money pumped into their game than oursbut i don't take to much interest tbh, but i know the M4 corridor have good gates . Im not saying we should be winning trophys every year i just want salford to be competitive, and the crowds will arrive in tandom with a good PR structure.,

Bradford Bulls is a prime example in the 1990s up to about 5-6 years ago. Obviously Peter Deakin was the mastermind behind the bulls.

Sale Rugby Union. Was averaging 2500 at heywood road. Now average 8-9000 and will probably fill our stadium. Again Peter Deakin was the catalyst. A great PR in tandom with a competitive team equals success at the turnstiles .

It hasn't been , the people running it have made probably the very same mistakes that JW has , but they also were the people picking up the tab

So be critical by all means , but do it constructively , why do you think I spend lots of time on here , and other boards ? Because it gives me an insight into what other clubs are doing , both good and bad

If you cannot come up with workable alternatives , or ways that you can help to change things , all that criticism will do is damage your club

Marketing is the key , so if the club don't market themselves , find ways of you marketing the club , come up with sensible workable ideas , convince others of their value , get them to help you

Running a RL club is a thankless task , I've been there , there are many fans who would happily see you lose everything , and then still call you for it afterwards for not being rich enough

What does worry me is that just like Leigh , we had an opportunity when we moved into the LSV , we missed it , and I do think that Salford will miss there's as well

The problem you had was marketing the Willows would be almost impossible , just as we had Hilton Park , the opportunity is now
