Personally, I think there's some potential candidates there to do what Nathan Brown has done, who, let's face it, was just as big a gamble as any of these.

| Why do fans of other clubs come on our forum and make comments like the wally from Huddersfield?! None of us care if you wouldn't be excited about any of the names on the list, I wouldn't be too excited about Paul Anderson being our next head coach either!! Stick to your own forum and keep your opinions of our club to yourself!

To be fair to Brown, he was head coach at St. George Illawarra for about four or five years, running them close to the title in 2005. Most of the chaps we're linked with don't have that pedigree. A better analogy would be Michael Maguire.

From that list of overseas coaches I think Peter Gentle has probably the highest pedigree working with Tim Sheens at a succesful club like West Tigers for 3 years. Gentle also has an assistant coaching role with the Australian national team as a defence coach and video analyst.

It would be interesting to see what our resident Australians think of the shortlist and who they prefer to see at The Willows. For all their respective credentials, the lads may like one of the candidates and think another is a right nob.

| I would imagine Adrian Lam would be looking at the Wigan job for starters. Brian Noble would be the ideal chioce for Salford at this moment in time. He could put the building blocks inplace like he did at Wigan from 2006 to 2009. Maguire reaped the benefits from Noble's hardwork.

Noble did great work at Wigan. Turned them from a relegation threatend team to 80 mins away from a Grand Final on three occasions. Turned Crusaders from being a hopeless team and guided them to the Play-Offs not to mention all his achievments at Bradford. Salford would be crazy not to appoint him as the man is a very good coach.

Noble hasn't even applied for the position has he? If this is the case why approach him if he doesn't even want the job?

I doubt we would have enough money to fill it.
