Here`s me thinking I was in a queue of 1 berating Parrish yet it seems that Red Johns eloquent post sums up a lot of feeling sbout the issue. Many forumites now seem to realise that he was not the right man at all for the job.

The usual suspects of course - Wardley, lance etc continue to attack JAW but can they find someone to take the club on? He is happy to sell and walk away - yet nobody is ever coming forward. Until someone does I would suggest their continued sniping should cease - or - we wont have a club at all!!!

Do you honestly think he would just sell up to anyone and walk away without it being financially beneficial to himself? That's incredibly naive. And given the outlay he's made during his time in charge then he is probably entitled to ask for some form of return on his investment, though as almost everyone knows you don't take on a sporting venture to make money.

As other's have said, someone took on Wakefield despite their troubles so why wouldn't anyone be interested in buying us? You can't just say that "nobody is ever coming forward" without knowing exactly what he's asking for to relinquish control. There may have been plenty of people interested until they hear what he wants. He isn't going to tell us that he's turned down X, Y and Z is he, and neither does he have to.

All I'm trying to point out is that, IMO, the mere fact that we exist as a club shouldn't be used as some kind of badge of honour for the Wilky/Club defenders. That would be the minimum I would expect from any owner of any professional sporting club.

I think - at the moment - he would do a BIG deal with anybody interested in taking over. It wasnt `incredibly naive` but with Businesses everywhere in parlous states there are many `clever` arrangements available. Step forward Wardley, Lance & Yourself if you like. Wakefield by the way were bought without the long standing debt.

I thought that Matt Parish was a good choice of coach when we signed him, that was however until his first Forever Reds meeting when in my opinion he singled out certain players " As ones that he would not of signed" this immediately set alarm bells ringing as far as I was concerned to have said this to a group of people he had never seen before.

Will we ever get to know why he left,some people have read Neil Barker and take it for granted that what he says must be true, even though in two different editions of the MEN this week he had him staying in one and he had resigning in the other.

Some people have gone back to the status quo IE Simms out, Tarry out, sack the board will these people still shake the Chairman's hand whenever they meet?or will the repeat what they publish on here? I doubt it.

Better still will they put up some big money into the club to rectify the shortcomings that they continually highlight, I think not.

Perhaps Matt Parish viewed the Turkey and couldn't understand how so much hatred and at some times rubbish is published about the club by some of it's so called supporters he decided that he didn't want any part of it,we will never know.

Perhaps he saw items such as the one saying loot the club shop, some may think it was funny, I don't.

Perhaps he has some personal problems as Barker intimates that he may have but why believe this story?

Perhaps he couldn't stand the thought of blue seats, now that was serious wasn't it.

Honestly can't believe people are STILL sticking up for the club!!! We've just lost a coach that told us how unprofessional an outfit we are on the pitch (which we've known for years) also in the admin department! The club backed a has been in SM which totally undone all the hard work done by KR. MP came in said he wanted change and people to embrace the change and work with him! Ultimately this didn't happen; he felt very aggrieved and upped sticks! Now I'm not saying he was the best coach we've had but what I will say he took pride in his work and genuinely wanted the help the Salford cause. I for one am deeply upset he has gone and await the next coach to bows to Simms greatness. Every slogging Parish saying he hasn't got the dog's danglers for the job, should look at the real issues, love is definitely blind in some case on this website

So if you're not financially able to step in and buy the club yourself, you should just shut up and accept everything that happens, regardless?

I would have said the easiest thing in the world would be to come in and see how badly the club is being run (in his eyes) but then just sit back and take the money and keep quiet about it all.

At least he's had the balls to raise issues that he saw fit as needing to be acted upon, not all of them needing money too apparently. Appears he has trodden on a few toes and they don't like that at all. Can't upset the cosy boys club in the boardroom though can we? How dare the outspoken aussie that they chose to hire actually be outspoken.

No GT there is a big difference between `criticising the Board` & `demanding they go`. I was referring to the latter. If they are to go then they have to be replaced. Criticism just needs correcting/opposing.
