There's no clique. When 'Clique' is mentioned on here it is either always used by fairly recent joiners to describe anyone who was already here, or used as a weak defense when idiocy gets called out.

There's normal people who can have a discussion without taking offence because someone has a different view. Then there's others who can't discuss an alternate opinion without condescending and belittling. If people get so offended by the prospect of somebody having a different view on RL, and can't be civil, then they should really question their ability to interact as an adult.

Multiple accounts need to go if it can be done. Far too many individuals propping-up their own arguments.

RLFans has been going downhill for quite a while, even before the most recent nobbers appeared. Less and less posters. More and more idiocy.

Poor moderation. Probably due to the fact that most of our mods had already drifted away from the boards already rather than deliberately ignoring stuff. Poor or no moderation just perpetuates the problems and consequently makes them worse.

This forum is pretty much dead, and don't see it changing any time soon as most posters can't be bothered with the idiot(s).

With all due respect Stanley, a large majority of RLFANS members which you have just branded as "one dimensional Zombie's" have moved over to the DevilTalk forum. In fact, the new Forum has encouraged a lot of 'lurkers' to actually join in with the discussions ,which is really pleasing to see.

The migration was a necessary evil, and as far as I'm aware people are enjoying the new forum. It encourages debate but in an intelligent, considered manner that doesn't intend to antagonise or upset other members.

We are all old enough to debate an opinion without it having to descend into farce, which is sadly something that has become the norm in threads you have previously commented on, on this forum.

DevilTalk was never created with a hidden agenda of creating a popularity contest between RLFANS and itself. In fact, I'd like it if people who are members of both Forums continued to use both. At the end of the day, we're all big Salford RLFC fans and want to get our daily fix of gossip and rugby-related news. Where you get that fix from is up to you, but from what I'm hearing a lot of people are enjoying the new website.

Also, to make a comparison between how many 'hits' each website is currently getting is absurd. One has been established for well over a decade, while the other has been around merely a month, if that. I don't think the popularity of a Forum ultimately determines which one is better; it is down to the content and contribution of it's respective members.

On a personal note I'm not backslapping anyone, but when a fellow member makes a good point of course I'll back them up wholeheartedly.

I genuinely hope this forum gets back on track, but my gut feeling is that a lot of members have become disillusioned and it will take a bit of effort to bring them back here.
