| Phil Joseph signing happened very late and understand we paid a fee to Widnes.
Club thought they had wrapped up the signing of Ukuma Tai'a until he renegaded on the deal and signed an improved contract at Huddersfield.

| The fact that the Doc has won his cases against Locke, TP and in effect Fages means he either has one hell of a legal team (our Castleford fan immigration/work permit bod maybe) or has there seems to be a bit of a witch hunt.
One bit of news in amongst them that has slipped by is a new deal with the stadium, that should finally put a nail in the coffin of the people who (for no real reason) have us down as becoming the Manchester Blue Angels or something similar.
Sheens staying for 3 years offers the club the chance of stability, progress and you hope the chance to utilise the knowledge of someone who pretty much everyone in the game holds in such high regard.
You'd think there might be a smattering of further signings and the possibility of maybe more out of the door.
Relived that the name Monaghan wasn't revealed.

| Let's hope this is the start of the new Salford. Going forward we need players with charactor and pride in their hearts pulling the red jersey's over their heads.

Nobody has mentioned this on our forum, not even rumoured.
Would be a surprise if this was true!

| Good luck to Gaz O brien. .... glad he's there now you have offloaded the nobs..
.a good player and a 100%er can't knock him.
For the guy that doesn't want joel give your head a wobble. He got to 100 tries almost as quick as Brian Bevan. ...a try a game guaranteed ...and I saw BJB play recently. .... deary me... awful player.

He'd probably do OK for us but we have signed so many big name senior players like this over the years who have been about a game away from the knackers yard. You have to ask why are Warrington letting him go? Classic car but you've traded in for the Linham GTI because of reliablity and high running costs factors perhaps?

Why would you pay a fee when Joseph had been told he was free to leave?

Not played much for us this year, looks too heavy and not having the impact he did off the bench 12 months earlier.
Good luck to him for his future.

I actually think he could be a good signing for us.
I'm still of the belief we have paid a fee and the acute wording of that press release reinforces what I've been told.

| I'd be very, very surprised if Salford paid a fee for Phil Joseph considering Phil, the club and the fans knew he was being released and had no future at Widnes nearly two months ago... However, i thought it was a done deal that he was signing for Wakefield.
Phil for all his effort isn't very good. Phil gives way too many daft penalties away (6 penalties in his 9 games played this season) and doesn't make very good metres.

I've never been overly impressed either, but I'm willing to bank that Sheens knows better than you or I. So I'll trust that he'll get him in shape and get some decent performances out of him.
