No big problem. Always tries hard and gives 100% but not big enough to be an effective 2nd tow or quick enough to be a centre. At SL anyway. Shame he's gone cos always good to see someone giving everything but only ever a squad player

| We lost 4 players on tuesday to injury , Paterson, Tasi, Morley & the younger Walne, 4 crucial games to go & probably a dog eat dog fight in the middle 8's .
What do we do, offload Walton.
Apart from the fact he was a fit squad player and cover for centre, 2nd row, he was one of our club trained players.
We've lost 10 of last 11 games , we are struggling for confidence & form, we are hardly in the position of flirting players.
Bizzare and worrying.

I agree. The timing is absolutely crazy, and while Walton isn't exactly a World Beater why on Earth would we give him to a potential opponent in the Middle 8's?
I'd like to know who has called the shots on this one, and what the Hell they were thinking.

| Walton had his limitations but he offered something others lacked which was enthusiasm. I would love to know whose decision it was to let him go - Harris? Harris' overall demeanour at interviews etc never displayed much enthusiasm.

| The more I think about this the odder it seems, I can only hope that it is to release some cap space for a signing or two.
TP, Hock, Locke and now Walton. If there is someone coming in that's a serious bit of wriggle room on the cap space.

| Dixon, TP, Hock, Locke, England and Walton all gone. By my calculations, that will have freed up circa close to £500k of salary cap space.

| You've recently signed London lad Olsi Krasniqi who seems similar in temperment & size to Jason Walton so wondering what the story is there.

Signed a permanent deal with Fev last month after a loan spell with the All Golds. Wasn't given a chance.
