What are people's opinion on this move by the club? Great idea or could we be reacting to disappointing numbers again this year, a little too soon? The big question is would more attend anyway when we eventually realise our potential as a team and register some really good results? Or do we need the extra numbers now (Vocal support) to help the team realise their potential?

If we want larger crowds, it'll help. It's not free tickets anyway, simply discounted. Every club has discounted tickets, indeed a lot still do free tickets to, just not every game as far as I'm aware.

It's fine saying fans will come when we have a run of 5, 10, 20 games unbeaten or whatever. Having the crowd supporting the players to start with helps us get there. Not that I expect us to go 20 games unbeaten - 5 would be nice and we're not too far off!

Yes, If you are a player Andy it must be very demoralising as a professional player when you run out at home in front of only 2700 people, especially when you have been playing in front of much bigger audiences elsewhere. It's also the clubs responsibility to do the very best job they can to get as many people through the turnstiles as possible and create the kind of atmosphere these players will thrive in.

Lower the prices to get more people in, then ask for a percentage of the increased sales at the stadium.

This seems like the best option in the short-term, I've thought it several times myself. The fact I've thought it leads me to believe the club must have at least asked about it...But you never know.

I have been speaking to some friends at work today and they seem very keen on coming to the game especially with the reduced ticket prices.

I think it's important as fans of the club to promote Salford in a positive way and try and get new fans on board. I don't know about any of you Salford fans on this forum but it has always been my dream to see us play at Wembley and the Old Trafford Grand Final.

The more support we have as a club the greater the chance of this becoming reality. So please anyone reading this do your best as a fan to help Salford become and success. Get behind the team and the board and let's make our dreams happen.

I notice now it's a lot easier to entice people to come when you mention the following.

-We've won 5 out the last 6 points.
-We have one of the best squads in the league.
-We've won 7 out of the last 9 home games
-We could go up to 4th place on Friday v Castleford

Don't even mention
-2700 v Wakefield
-The Saints performance

Sell the club, every little helps and us as fans can have a huge influence on how well the clubs does in the future.

Yes we can be a negative bunch can't we? and I'm as guilty as anyone at times. We always like to play the victim card don't we? I agree a more positive outlook from local supporters could help play a huge part in helping the club attract a lot more people to Barton.
