Would be nice to get our rivalry back with Cas. I remember back in the early and mid 2000's when we were both battling for relegation, we had some great games with some top atmospheres, especially at the Jungle. We always seem to come out on top too from memory.

Still remember Andy Coley picking Wayne Price up and running 15 metres with him over his shoulder.

It will be good to have another rivalry going,hopefully a friendly competitive rivalry between two decent sides

The thing is that Castleford are one of my favourite other clubs so its sad to see how some have reacted to our change in fortunes. The Chase issue really has got under the skin of Cas fans in a way i have yet to see Wakefield fans react about Smith (if indeed we have signed him) As others have said we have lost a raft of players to clubs over the years..we know how it feels and yes some of us have been less than gracious. But the good Dr is pumping money into the game..he saved a heartland traditional club..perhaps building a new team to try break up the staggering monotony of the same teams on GF day. As someone once said "some days your the pigeon..some days your the statue"..Hopefully we can become a force in the game again..please dont begrudge our smallish band of followers our potential day in the sun...lord knows we have suffered along the way to better days.

After two consecutive home games in season openers I'd expect our first match next season to be away.

Selective memory?? Didn't they put 70 points past us one year at The Willows?

They had a good season that year I remember, Wayne Bartram (their hooker I think) kicked us to death that day. That's the only defeat I recall though around that period.

They've more than made up for it and turned the tables in recent years. I think we've won 1 game in our last 12 against them!

That picture is class.

I find some of the retoric from the Cas fans curious. From what I gather earlier on in the season he could have gone to the NRL and the club would have been significantly worse of as a result, this way they have had him till the end of the season and made a hat full of money to help replace and strengthen the team.

Some Castleford fans could do worse than take a look down the road to Wakefield for an example of how to do things with dignity.

Seriously, good luck with rangi, he deserves some success and i'd rather he find it at Salford than at some
other clubs.
