| Why would we want Sidlow back?
This is something I'll never understand with a lot of Salford fans: they say they want to be better, yet they seem to think we can get there without doing anything differently.
Sidlow wasn't good enough last year, he still wouldn't have been good enough this year and, if we're serious about being a top six side, he certainly won't be good enough next year.

| Maybe your opinion Wayward but not mine. We have Morley & Pulatea coming and if Adam cannot come on 100% with those two then there is little hope. He is still very young for a prop and a great build.

| Sidlow had nothing around him most of the season, with a bigger pack to share the work load would think he would be a very welcome returnee. He is the very type of forward Noble likes, there isn't a glut of big front rowers around (despite Wakefield and Saints getting one each from the NRL) and Sidlow is one of the biggest in the league.

| Re Bradford - League Freak possibly near the mark :-
' It's happening. This is the death rattle. Semi professionalism is just around the corner. It's coming.'

'Between today and the 8th of Aug, bills keep pilling up. This will snowball. Theyll go into Administration again.;

Well weve been there havent we?

| It would interesting to know the catalans deal for Whitehead and whether the bid Salford had that Bradford accepted would have been beneficial?
Bradford were withheld 600K this year of the Sky money and another 600K in 2014.
thats a lot of mula to find from somewhere else I hope they find it.
They are starting with Huddersfield after more compensation for Kopzac after he blabbed he'd been tapped by the Giants prior to him walking out .
I'm not going to to crow , we were dead & buried .
Hope it's the right move for Gaskell.

| You're both right, it is just a personal opinion. But Sidlow and Jewitt (who people also want retained) were both part of an underpowered pack last year who simply couldn't provide the platform for the outstanding backs we had.
They're both [igood[/i players but IMHO not quite good enough to take us to the level we're supposedly aiming towards. The same goes for a lot of the other players some people on here are desperate for us to retain.

| I don't think any genuine rugby league fan would take any pleasure whatsoever in what's potentially unfolding at Bradford.

| Gaskell opted to go to Bradford to play in a halfback role, he's been told that he's not required in that role at Salford so we left the decision with him and he's opted for Bradford.

Bradford no, but being brutally honest there are two or three clubs I'd not shed a tear for.
It's a pretty sorry state of affairs when within 12 months of taking over at a new club there is a cash flow issue, surely to God the RFL/SL should have checked that there were sufficient funds to at least cover this season. I know it's been done to death but the administrators in RL really should take a long hard look at themselves.

| This has been said a 1000 times but the RFL letting all the other clubs have a share of 1.2 million of our sky money over 2 seasons really doesn't help

| The funding issue certainly hasn't aided Bradford but, aside from that decision, you can't really blame the RFL when the bare truth is that there wouldn't have been a better alternative available other than letting the Bulls back in.
The other uncomfortable truth is: if professional rugby league isn't viable in Bradford, where exactly will it be viable?

I suspect that Warrington might be a bit miffed if Bradford were to sell Blythe, what with him being on loan from them.
