OK , don't want to appear like a vulture waiting to pick over the pieces but it's not looking rosy down at Wrecsam and the Tabloid obviously felt they enough info to print ..
+ Oldham still have a HMRC winding up order hanging , comments abound suggesting the HMRC are not yet finished with other RL clubs and unpaid taxes. It's close season:- a sticky time for any Rugby league club , especially a Full time staffed one .

| Hmm - if you sup with the devil use a long spoon!!
The whole formation of Crusaders in South Wales with a disaffected RU guy seemed odd - I'm trying not to invite a legal challenge - but just possibly could the RFL be accused of being naive in believing much of what Mr Samuels said?

| The move to Liquidate Crusaders and then start afresh surely CEMENTS our postion in the Franchise Bid next year. There is now no way the RFL can surely kick out Cas, Salford or even Wakey or that matter. Not been a bad day has it?

| Early bath this move by the crusaders must be seen as a move to keep celtic going in superleague @ all costs, or is it just me ?
The rfl need to expand the game so keeping quins n celtic going is important, the product (rugby league / super league) will lose some of its punch when trying to attract new sponsors / new fans if eather go under / lose their franchise, that is why both will make the cut and wakey or /and cas wont.
Dont get me wrong this guy from wakefield paying their debts has given the rfl a headake but im sure they will nail then for somthing else.

| Wasn't the reason given for Widnes' failed bid the fact that they had gone bust ?
Celtic/Crusaders will now have had this happen twice.
Added to the fact that they have upped sticks so essentially this is a brand new franchise.
If they put in new Rules for them I would expect a Legal challenge from whoever is booted out and I would also expect Widnes could justifiably claim as well.
Another FU by the RFL

| Is it only me that thinks the RFL will move the goalposts in a massive way and increase the size of the league to prevent any fallout from this latest booboo.
Can't see any other way around it myself if they want to keep both London and the Crusaders in the league and promote a team from a lower division.

| I heard a rumour that there was to be 2 teams in next year, there was huge opposition to this so it was scrapped
This Crusaders issue has therefore come at a very opportune time for the RFL.
Keep them in so keeping up the pretence of expansionism, allow in a Championship team and no one is booted out.
15 team league with a rest week every couple of weeks to compensate for the odd number of teams.
That keeps everyone happy for another 3 years till the circus starts again.

I sent the following mail to the RFL and mr Blake Solly yesterday and surprise surprise, they have forgotten to answer. If anyone else would like to have a go at emailing red hall, the addresses are........... reception@rfl.uk.com and blake.solly@rfl.uk.com.
Blake Solly is the compliance officer at the RFL and should be in a position to answer your emails
good luck
With the news that the Crusaders are going into admin. and a new company is to be formed, does that company have a franchise for next season and which well run club will be stuffed by the RFL at the next round of franchises to make room for this poor business model. If I were the chairman of one of the 'less favoured ' clubs I would already have solicitors looking at this matter.
Even the RFL cant say that this is 'openness and fairness' in practise.
For the sake of the game get rid of these leeching clubs (crus and quins) and lets get back to being a real sport with promotion and relegation.
As the situation has moved on and the crusaders are looking at reforming as a new company, will they have a franchise for next season ? If so, could you please explain the ruling on that one, because Widnes were not allowed into Superleague because they went into administration. Will the new company have to apply for a franchise at the next round or will they be assured of a place at the top table as the previous crusaders were ?
I await your reply

| There's a Mr Solly at the RFL? Love it we must be nailed on for another franchise.
I agree with the calls for a 15 team league. I think 2 bye weeks per season for each team give a chance for players to recover from injures and should enhance the quality of the competition. It also give two windows in the season where fans know they can book holidays without missing games.

I like it, although there will be the inevitable debate of whether there is enough talent to stretch across 15 teams.
