Quote Rooted Red="Rooted Red"Last year we had size in Stapo and he hasn't been replaced adequately. Cashmere has been missing injured and without these two we seem really 'lightweight'
Rutgerson / Highto / Coley / Haggi..........these guys have never been adequately replaced for me.
Dunemann was head and shoulders above anything we've seen since
Bottom Line is, we're out muscled every week, half backs are average at best and our backline is woefull (And has been for two years), and we've a Head Coach no-one else would touch with a barge pole.

Cashmere, Leuluei, Sidlow and Boyle are all big units, they just don't seem to hit the ball with enough pace. Not wanting to keep laying the blame on Alker, but the speed of our play ball at the moment is killing our go forward. If you put Cashmere in either the Wigan/Warrington sides, with the speed of their play, he would look like the potential Representitive footballer they say he is down under.
Infact if you put the majority of our team in anyother super league side they would look like the quality players they are. The older members have proven themselves, and the likes of Adamson, Ratchford and Sidlow are all young lads, potentially, with careers ahead of them. Whatever is going on at the moment could end up ruining these players livelihoods.
Our wingers haven't showered themselves in glory, but you can't complain with Talau and Henry in the centres, even Dunneman would look like a donkey in the current team.
There is obviously a collection of problems. From a fans perspective I love the willows, but it can't be much fun for 17 6ft plus solidly built guys in those changing rooms. This is where the new ground comes into play. Better facilities will make happier players and happy players will play better.
Maybe we need to say a big thank you to Manchester City Council, John Prescott and anybody else who tried prevent the new ground!!!!!!
