| Quote: The Original Red Devils "And how many game have you seen Dan play in? You cant base your argument on Salford's league position he has bin injured half of it, and doesn't have the players around him other teams do. Dan Holdsworth is a class act. I Would prefer obst over smith though.'"
Has anyone considered that Dan may want Smith as his regular halves partner? He may want a regular no thrills Scrum Half beside him rather than someone like Ratchford who plays more off the cuff and thus is less readable for him.

| This topic is about who is coming back to Salford to Play for us , Do you reckon It's Robbie ?
As to the merits of our half backs this year it's safe to say Holdsworth is ' special ' .
Overall Matty Smith has made a postive contribution , He certainly has with the club & coaching staff otherwise he wouldn't have been offered a full time contract .

I could see Paul coming back in a coaching capacity but not in a playing one.
Smith for me hasn't done a great deal wrong, OK he isn't Gregory or anyone of that ilk but he has formed a good working partnership with someone we all agree is a very special player. There's no point in having the best 2 halves in the world if they don't like or want to play for/or with each other.

| As far as I'm concerned Robbie Paul can get on the 1st plane back to wherever he came from. I've got no time for him whatsoever.

I have been a bit disappointed with Matty Smith to be honest. He had that superb game against Saints at home but other than that he's been average.
I wonder if he has a motivational problem and got up for the Saints game because they rejected him?

| Quote: Daryl D "obviously not considering the position the reds are in, '"
So, pray tell me, how many championships did Newcastle Knights win when Andrew Johns, arguably the greatest half back of all time, was playing for them?
Whilst you're at it, tell me how many championship winning sides did Wally Lewis play in?
There's two players of similar ilk to demonstrate that the league position of a team does not always match the quality of the half backs.
Having actually studied this game and through reasonably neutral eyes, I conclude that Dan Holdsworth is one of the finest half backs currently plying his trade in the British game. I also conclude that your post is one of the daftest I've read in quite a while.

| Okay, so I've thought of a possible a Judas. It's a very tenuous link, but as simthy, no Salford's number 1, refered to him as Judas I think we're in agreement that it's someone who left the club under what would be described as not the best of circumstances. So, a work colleague of my fathers told him that his son was on the books of Salford City Reds, but because we wouldn't sign his less talented brother their father told the club to stick it and took them both off to our rivals.
Name of said player: Kallum Watkins!!!
It's a long shot and I very much doubt it, but I'm intrigued. Seriously though I'll be extremely vexed off if Reardon is the subject of all this speculation. I would be happy with Robbo back if that was to happen.
P.S. please note the slight hint of sarcasm in the friends dogs mates aunties type comment and do not read too much truth into the post.

| if it comes out it is Reardon id be happy with that, how he could be described as a "judas" is a new one on me.
He came to us on loan, he played out of his skin, looking back probably the best rugby of his career, we were relegated he returned to bradford to keep playing @ the top level he's never imo said anything bad about salford in the press so to be described as a "judas" is wrong imo.
Robinson on the other hand could be put in this category but he is too good a player to hold a grudge against when wearing the shirt.
