One things for sure ...apart from our own season...Its going to be interesting to see how things transpire at Leigh this year

Apparently Hansen is training the house down at Leigh. Made a great impression as a leader so far in pre-season and could maybe even get the nod for captain ahead of Mickey Higham.

You're even beginning to sound like Salford from two years ago.

I can vividly recall the exact same comment coming from our warm weather training camp in South Africa 2 years ago. There was even photographs posted on twitter by backroom staff to support the claim by showing him training and apparently setting the high standards. You have to ask yourself if the player is such a leading example and model professional why did Salford not move heaven and earth to keep hold of a local lad? There has to be a damn good reason and I doubt it was a financial decision by the club.

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm with the new recruits but as a word of caution I wouldn't set your expectations too high. We have been there and worn the T shirt.

TBF the players Leigh have got this year for a championship club are head and shoulders above anything else in the league. They should comfortably win 95% of their games even if the new recruits are playing at 50%

The playoffs should be an absolute formality for Leigh, but another good challenge cup run and ultimately promotion will define the success of Mr Beaumont's large speculative investment. A potential problem they could face is the lack of really competitive games throughout the regular season, especially if they suffer an early cup exit. It will ultimately all boil down to if they are capable of cranking it up several notches week after week in the middle 8"s?

The comments about Hansen are just ridiculous, the lad was genuinely looking forward to following his dad at Salford and put 100% EVERY time he took to the pitch. His dad himself was very annoyed with Salford when he found out the truth as Harrison kept it from him, I know he had words with club officials.

Unfortunately Mr Money Launder himself couldn't produce the regular cash payments promised to some of the players, or pay for medical insurance, or Visas, or flights home for players, or kit suppliers, or player lease vehicles amongst many things.

Difference with Rangi is HIS big money was in his contract hence why the club had to sack him rather than pay up and release him like the others.

Before you ask yes I know the players, so does JGR and usually is on the money.

Just to add, during an interview a couple of weeks back Jay Walton insinuated there were cliques in the dressing room. Hopefully Sheens can help minimise the issues that the club appear to have had in this regard.
