Just curious but how does plonking an ikea nxt to your ground help your club???

Out of curiousity, what would you build on development land beside a stadium? The land was always zoned as a non food retail area so what would you prefer?

If I get a chance tomorrow I'll try and work out how to post the plan on here, hopefully someone more tech savvy than me does it first.

Or the thousands of people who daily make a trip to an IKEA and see a stadium they didn't know existed? Or the family's who can browse before/after a game? Pencils are obviously the big draw!

That's my point !
It will improve the appearance certainly but,of course,they'll be able the police the car park so it won't be available for matchday parking.
By causing the stadium to be built we've started the development which will be good news for the owners of the site,and massively increased its value.
Overall,I'll be pleased if the site does become easier on the eye,and fully developed, but I fear that we'll be at the back of the queue when it comes to consideration.

If the new road does not provide adequate relief, it’s a knocking bet.



If this is Ikea and the development does happen, then in retrospect you would have to have more sympathy for John Wilkinson and the gang for how things panned out. I remember on a couple of occasions Wilky saying that Ikea was essentially the golden nugget of the stadium’s retail plan with the rental yield from them alone being able to finance much of the ongoing operations. However, that’s a mute point now.

On a different note, I wonder if this is part of the Council’s exit strategy from the JV?
