| Quote theredshed="theredshed"Isn't a Warrington player up for a grade E (8 Match) for allegedly spitting?'"
Having read the Wire forum it appears he (Anthony England) is bang to rights on it and was seen spitting TWICE in the direction of Brough (I'll refrain from saying the little probably deserved it! Seen by plenty of people and the 2nd spit apparently nearly hit the TJ. Carries a 4-8 match ban if found guilty.
[size=50NB. Please note I would never condone spitting... a punch to the chops would've been nice tho seeing as it was Brough...[/size

He will get 16 games then for offending twice. Then again he doesn't play for Salford so he will probably receive a formal caution. Although knowing Paul Anderson's history he will have sent DNA evidence to the disaplinary hearing.

It's a wonder Paul Anderson's not asking for a ban as long as it takes Danny Brough to get the spit off his hair

| Paul Anderson will be hot footing it down to the RFL with dossiers on Anthony England, chump.
As for the spitting incident, it's a rotten thing to do but where Brough is concerned I'm not surprised...horrid little weasel.

| Everyone is out raged at this whole England spitting thing, but is it any worse than being punched in the face? Would you rather someone spat at you, or punched square in the nose?

Neither,
A gentlemanly punch in the boat-race is more ' honest ' . spitting is the reserve of Football & Mediterranean types

Jesus wept!!! Can we once and for all stop this b0llocks about "football types"?!
There is scum across all levels of society, it's sweet FA to do with Football. Oh and FYI, in the last 5 years I've seen more trouble at RL grounds (avg attendance under 10k) than I have at Football grounds (avg attendance at OT over 75k). Along with our numpty element there have been dozens of incidents at Cas, Wakey, Widnes, Hull FC, Hull KR, Wire over the past few seasons. Must all occur when Man Utd, Leeds, Liverpool, Hull City have no game and their "firms" decide to watch their local RL team!
Rugby fans can't half be a bunch of self-righteous s when they want to be! Oh and I know we're discussing players here not fans but for every Luis Suarez there's a Gareth Hock!
Sorry... rant over!

It is true though isn't it?
I think his point was that in Rugby you get honest fisticuffs whereas in football it's a lot of nasty pushing and shoving followed by the occasional flob into someones perm...

Hey, I'm not doubting that the vast majority of footballers are complete f@nnies but I do take offence when anything negative about fans or players in RL is thrown back as "leave that for the wendyball lot". I love a bit of biff and it should never be taken out of our game but there are plenty of scummy and cowardly acts that take place on a rugby field, spitting included.
Oh and I'm sure there a few footballers that would love a good punch up on the pitch but unlike in rugby (to an extent) it isn't allowed!
