I've been critical in the past about the quality of the MEN and Barker's efforts. I've softened somewhat to him as it's plain that he has a soft spot for my Club. It doesn't excuse shoddy efforts and getting all upset like a schoolgirl however.

Well well, MR in trouble. Well I back my mate Mich 100% even if he has me blocked. The MEN is less than a half the paper it used to be, regularly getting names and facts wrong and a big culprit of this is the Salford love child Barker.

Just add some weight to Barkers defence, having previously raised issues regarding his journalistic skills with him in the past (face to face like grown men by the way).

He confirmed to me once he's written his report, this is sent to the editor for final editing prior to print. I have lost count the amount of times an incorrect caption has accompanied a photograph etc but these aren't Barkers issues but the editors.

Re signing news/rumours he has always got his info from club coaches, officials, players and ex players. He still does I believe, these names aren't picked out of the sky.
