No I am saying the Origin players would not need the level of coaching required - they have attained nigh on `superstar` status already - their ability would be on a different level to the likes of our squad - He must have known our levels before he came.

Right I get it now, for instance in theory Man United being superstars themselves could in fact ditch Fergie and maybe employ the Macclesfield Town manager as their abilty is on a different level to the players at Macc and would not need the level of coaching required at Macc ?

You got it. For instance when we had the superstars playing Hesketh/Watkins/etc etc they didnt need a coach - all the tactics were worked out between themselves - they were on such a different level `coaching` was superfluous.

I'm now wondering why we didn't go for a Wayne Bennett type coach, as our rosta certainly needs the best available coaching. Or am I wrong and like the board didn't realise the right man was on the doorstep all along a man who hasn't had a head coaches job, like all previous appointments other than Mcrea who broke the mould.
