so of the 8000 in 2007 ...lets say 2000 from leeds.....that means to had approx 6k salford fans. so 2500 potential fans (who we know have had SOME interest) need getting back into games. Lets hope their tempted by last game of the season!!

Least it shows we can get decent crowds though, albeit those figures are for against a big team.

It's not quite as simple as that - the 8k crowd was the first game of the season, following a season where we'd finished 5th and had supposedly strengthened the team (with new stars Dorn, Korkidas and Edmondson). Unfair to compare that to a late season game with nothing left to play for (albeit the last time a "big" club visits the Willows).

Which proves that if the team are successful, more will come through the turnstiles.

By the way, if what you're accusing the stewards of is actually happening (personally I've never seen it, but never mind) then why don't you write to the club about it? I'm sure they'd love to hear what's going on.

To describe people who don't have a season ticket as scruffy is just idiotic, a friend of mine who due to family and work commitments doesn't have a season ticket I would suggest would be in the top 1% of earners in the crowd but by your rationale is scruffy??

Maybe we should a scruffy oiks section at the new ground? install the old style gutter in the floor urinals, no cover from the rain and as many roof supports to ruin thier view as possible.

I just found it commical to describe people as scruffy for not being season ticket holders.

People will not pay to see rubbish,the directors can go on until they are blue in the face.But that fact will not change,
they are still going on about getting,more away fan,s next season,so If every team brings 4.000 with them and 4.000
of us, they have got the break even figure.In my opinion the first marketing mistake they will make,is If we play on Friday
night,that will stop people coming over the M62.

Wakefield have a tv advert on itv Yorkshire. That might be a reason why they have a bigger home crowd too.
