Quote Iain="Iain"Think that was the sentiment expressed at the last Forever Reds meeting - if we're in the mix for the play-off spots on the last day of the season would you rather be playing someone at the top or bottom?'"
I was only joking really but I do think this is a good question. I voted for Warrington as that seems to have become the nearest we have to a derby these days and I feel it needs to be a competitive match to make it really feel worthwhile and get the crowds in. Wigan was my other choice mainly because it always a good atmosphere and of course because of [ithat[/i match - the greatest ever for most of my generation of fans I think
If we're in the playoffs I think head would have to rule heart as it did when Saints chose Huddersfield over Wigan. I understand the need for a high intensity game as preparation for the playoffs but also a big confidence boosting win where we're less likely to pick up injuries could be good too
Also I'ld be gutted if we got battered in the last game at the Willows (although it could be considered an appropriate end for fans who started watching after 1980

)
A touring team would be an interesting one - the French for the link to the nickname is good but i wonder if it would draw in the crowds. We need a full stadium and a decent atmosphere
Maybe against a combined touring team with free entrance for fans of all clubs (after the interest from Salford has been accommodated) to come and pay their respects to the greatest Weaste based stadium in the world!!
The ex-players curtain raiser is a great idea - although it would be even better if we could restage the Wigan Challenge Cup game - get all the players from both teams back together....
As long as we spend all 80 minutes singing "TAKE ME HOME....." it'll be reet
