I think you're wrong there. and a weird way smiths sin binning was pivotal moment of the game ... We'd weathered Saints opening spell of the second half and were getting a bit of momentum . Smiths kick 'n' chase deserved at least a kick out , he had every right to challenge for the ball. Wellens over reacted , Smith over reacted and got a Yellow, penalty yes , Yellow card?
At that mid point of the second half 13 against 13 any Saints score would've put them back in the ascendancy , they've done it so many times before , but against 12 men , suddenly galvanised by the sin binning we raised our game , in their faces it provided the impetus to contain them for the 10 minute spell and capitalise a chance when we'd coughed up some guilt edged chances previously .. basically Smiths sin binning won us the game.

Yeah, hope saints dont play as bad as you've ever seen and they dont play Pryce, Cunningham and Gidley and they put eastman at half back! You'll beat them all ends up!

Last night more than made up for the previous week's performance! I didn't think there was anyone in a red shirt who let us down. Few mistakes and a passionate defence. We had some slices of luck (Ellis droping the ball and Saints losing the ball on the line in Wilshere's tackle) but we earned that luck.

Wilshere, Ratchford, Cashmere, Stapleton, Adamson, Sidlow and Swain stood out for me - but each and every one of the 17 can feel proud of his performance.

I thought the Goulding try was a gem - that Sidlow offload to Ratchford was sheer class. Other key moments for me included the Littler interception in the first play after Smith had been sin-binned as it gave us the initiative again, and Wilshere's form under the high ball when under pressure. I don't think he made a mistake all night.

After Huddersfield part of me thought why do I bother going home and away each week to see stuff like this? Now I know why I go - and will contnue to!!!

Superb performence last night by the reds we played as a team and were awesome from 1 to 17. Steff ran the show his kicking game was top draw.

A special mention to Swain, Sidlow big Ray and Walton.

The shed was great tonight well done.

What a win. It was a great team performance and there wasnt a bad player on the pitch.

Were Saints at full strength- bizarrely they have struggled at Celtic away and lost at Salford away.

Maybe they take it too easy and expect to win. Teams like us and celtic will raise there games against teams like saints and leeds etc. Last night we just got in there faces and didn't let them play the flowing rugby they usually do. Yes they were missing cunningham, pryce and gidley but you can only beat whats in front of you.
