| Dobson is the perfect foil for Chase. Great kicking game and reads the game superbly
Fantastic effort tonight from all the players. We've all said that effort is all we ever ask for, yet haven't seen it regularly enough since 2006!
Season turning point: Hock being shown the door. Different team since then. Good luck Leigh

| Dobson was superb, kicked us to death tonight!
you wanted it more than we did, we were our own worst enemy and made it easy for you at times, but apart from the man in the middle, no compaints from me.
good following too, about 700 i reckon, 600 more than your last 2 visits

| Sad to see Dobson being critized on the clubs facebook page and also on twitter. Why is he being a scapegoat? Is it becuase people want Fages over him? Baffled to say the least, I honestly think some of our fans don't have a clue.

| Dobson was man of the match for me.
But some of our fans need a scapegoat, and they're undecided between dobson and locke, as to who it should be.

| There was a Salford fan sat near me yesterday and no matter what Dobson did he slagged him off. If he was doing anything wrong then fair enough but I think the fan just had that British mentally that we must dislike positive winning people and always support the plucky underdog and be happy with just having enthusiasm.

| I thought it was a very good win, built on strong and aggressive defence and a good kicking game. In truth, I can't think of many times within living memory when I have thought that before!
We wanted the win and the team's reaction in front of our stand showed how much it mattered to them. Interestingly, I think the first two over to us were the two Salford lads, Harrison Hansen and Adrian Morley. It certainly mattered to them.
We seem to have something solid to build on now and we could just be on the edge of becoming a good team. ( Sorry to be so optimistic on here. Mind you, posting it will probably be the kiss of death! )
The next two games will be a good indication of how far we've developed. Here's hoping we perform in both of them.

I am sure that last season we had a similar number of fans although we were in the same stand as the home supporters.

| Of course if you look over on the Huddersfield board the result was only down to the ineptitude of Mr Child and how we took better advantage of that than they did!
FWIW I thought the ref was completely even handed and kept things moving along well especially given his reputation for being whistle happy.
What a set of whingers the Giants are though, the waving of arms after a tackle looking for penalties and Brough's continual stream at the referee - just not needed or wanted in RL
But back to the performance - best this season from us and certainly Dobson's best in a Salford shirt to date - let's hope for even better on Monday

| Was not the prettiest of displays but one of the most professional I have witnessed over the last few years. We bullied them from start to finish.
Dobson controlled the game with is kicking & organisation, Cory Patterson impressed once again. We also had an extra man in our side last night, I salute each one of the fans who made the trip over to Huddersfield, you could see at the end of the game how much it meant to the players knowing how good the vocal support was last night..
Lets make sure on Monday we give the team the same positive vocal support

| The team deserves credit for the fact that they had to reshuffle after 15 minutes and were down an interchange player from that point. We're fortunate that we have a back-rower who can play centre and a winger who's comfortable at fullback.

| I think we're increasingly looking like Dobson's team. He's calling most of the moves, deciding when to pass, run or kick. We seem to be playing much more conservatively than we were last season and earlier this. That was what we needed yesterday. You could see it against Wakey, Cas and Widnes too to a lesser extent. At one point in the first half yesterday Chase went on a mazey cross field run which ended with a risky long pass and no metres made. Dobson ran over, bollocked him, pushed him away and put himself at first receiver. No way Smith or Fages could do that to Rangi. Clearly the teams instructions were to play a tight, controlled game to keep hold of the ball (we made 6 handling errors all game which is good for us, esp in those conditions) and Dobson was gonna make sure we did
That said you can see that the partnership is growing. Dobson leads us round the park, gets the forwards where he wants them and gives the ball to Chase to play the bigger, rangier moves. You could see at times yesterday Rangi was choosing to try something off the cuff, pretty much always in their 40. And you can see that they control different sides of the attack at times. All really encouraging.
I think as their partnership develops that we will see Rangi coming back into it more but at the right times and territory, unlike last year when he had to do it all. There will also be games like yesterday when we need a tight, controlled attack and others when the conditions and opposition suit where we can be more free flowing.

I agree. We've seen in games earlier in the season that we struggled to adapt. I think it's partly the team spirit and being more prepared to fight for each other than we were
