| Well if Aspinwall is in I would put Luke Adamson opposite - keep McPherson in the second row.

| I said before last week's game that if Holdsworth and Patten 'turned up and played' it would make all the difference. Well, on attack they were much improved, so if they keep it up we should also keep on improving as a team.
Regarding Patten, he still can't or won't defend. Anyone watching last weeks tries conceded will note that Patten is again acting as a bystander whilst the opposition races in. Considering that Veivers was a pretty effective full back, I can't understand why he seems to be failing to address this problem.
I think it will be a tough ask to beat Hull, but again I'm just hoping for 100% commitment and some entertaining rugby.

Hull will be a tough challenge i feel we have enough to compete and get a result just need the same effort and commitment shown in the 1st 50 minutes at widnes but for a full 80 and its ours i recon'"
So, nobody would disagree with us needing the effort for a whole 80 mins.
I have to question the Boyle statement, who would really want to see him back in the team? I've heard the second best prop last season comment, but as JBL would say that's like being second tallest midget.

Source? I'd hope this isn't true as Jodie & Danny are gonna rip a few oppo wingers to shreds this season. To lose Jodie & Joel Moon 3 games in would be a biatch! Reckon it could be a cracker tomorrow with a decent forecast and a depleted Hull pack, we could be in for a "battle of the backs". Hopefully, we can pull in 6000+ and get the place rocking. A win tomorrow with and 2 points against the Broncos would be a pretty decent start to the season.

There has been big calls for boyle to be reintroduced, he looked well of the pace at Halifax but that was a while a go, personally he is a good blocker nothing more nothing less

| If there's one thing that pleases me about this squad, it's that Boyle is backup, rather than second best. Sidlow and Jewitt's stats may not appear as good, last season, but they're head and shoulders above him, in terms of potential. Could you really see Boyle scoring the try Jewitt scored against Leeds or running Sidlow's lines out wide?
Let's not even compare him to Gledhill/Feka/McPherson. I don't want to get carried away, but even taking Cashmere's loss into consideration, the pack looks stronger than last year.

Do you honestly think so?
We've played two games and been bullied in the pack twice. Ok we played well against Widnes and made plenty of yards, but I stand by what I've said for a long time our pack is poor. It's full of grafters don't get me wrong, but seriously our wingers make more yards when taking it forward from a standing start.

With the exception of Shannon Macphearson - he looks outstanding taking the ball out on the first drive!!!!

Quality.
As for the pack, I didn't say it was an outstanding pack, but Feka has far more yards in him than last season and McPherson plays the ball much quicker than Cashmere, as does Feka. Ashurst looks a better attacking option than Adamson. With Gledhill driving the ball in harder than Neal or Boyle. So I'll standby my comment, 'the pack is stronger than last year'.
We did loose to the power and pace of st's, but Cas played a very fast game of rugby, whereas our timing was dreadful and the players were getting caught stood still. I certainly wouldn't say the pack was bullied though, the speed of our play and timing was the main issue.
