| Quote: Prestwich Red "The score certainly flattered Warrington.
With all the money and players they have I would have expected a much better performance from them.
Dont give me this we played a game a weekend and you have had a week off cr@p,there are players at Wire who are probably on double of what ourplayers are on and for most of the game we matched them.
First half was a penalty free for all mostly in Warringtons favour and you can not hope to win a game when you have that against you.
Second half Salford were much the better team, we just missed that essential spark in the last ten which would have given us points.
Remember we had 4 players missing 2 of whom are our playmakers, with the small squad we have that is a killer. Not all teams are able to have a Solomona on the bench.
So overall I was very happy with Salfords performance.
Good Luck Wire though it pains me to say it, you will certainly need it.'"
Probably out worst performance of the season but still got the 2 points - that's always a good sign.
A good team would have taken us last night.

Maybe if we didn't have Holdsworth, Ratchford, Fitzy, Cashmere or Parker injured we probably would of beat you, but credit to our boys for keeping in the match most of the game and making your players panic.

I don't think our players paniced, deep down they always knew there was winner - it was just about killing the game off.
Also we were missing: Carvell, Myler, Westwood, Clarke and Wood.

Are they as vital to your team as Fitzpatrick, Holdsworth, Ratchford, Cashmere and Parker are to ours?
Whilst you won, as everyone expected you to, I don't think anyone would argue with the fact that Salford's performance, relative to potential, was far better than Wire's.
Considering the amount that Wire players would've been paid for last night's performance, in comparison to how much Salford players would've been paid for theirs, I think it's fair to say we got better value for money.
That's why our fans are relatively pleased with the performance. The response of "yeah, but we won" just shows a lack of respect and dignity.

| Not seen any headlines "Warrington lucky against an injury plagued Salford" which would have been the case if Salford would have won with the bare bones of a squad we have, missing vital play makers who do make all the difference.
We did very well, infact spent most of second half on the Wire line just crossing the once, we needed quicker PTBs, which were hampered by a lot messing about at the PTB missed by Thaler who appeared to be somewhere else for most of the game. The only calls we go in the first half came from the touch judge, who must have been told off at half time.
But after watching the Bradford Warrington game last week I feel we need refs who will keep an eye on the game.
We played well with what we had, but it was just not good enough, we dropped the ball on a number of occassions and managed to stop the Wire from scoring from the mistake, earlier in the season that would not have been the case.
With Holdsworth in the mix we might have pulled it off.
Where is the idiot celebrating the "first" treble in Super League.

With Holdsworth or Ratchford or a barnstorming prop we would have possibly scored when we were camped on your line for at least 15 minutes. I would say putting over a drop goal with 15 mins to go certainly is panic.
The Warrington fans arrogness really is a pain in the @rse.
It is well worth remebering that not such a long time ago you were the same as us in fact probably worse.

My heart bleeds for you, look at who you had on the bench and on the pitch. We had to put possibly our best centre at full back, we had to play Leuluia for almost all the match, we had a young kid making his debut, a new halfback combo had to be cobbled together I could go on but hey that would just be excuses

| I am not sure why those two are coming on here and bragging in such a puerile way.
I think LoyalFan summed it up very well.
The difference in go forward between the two teams was startling - Morley, Harrison, the two Andersons, King, Atkins were just pulverising you and Mathers was getting to at least the 40 on each kick return. Your lack of (effective) half backs was also plain to see as even when you did get into our 20, our defence (which is good anyway) just soaked it all up. Your two tries came from a deflected kick and a 40/20. Warrington have a really good squad at the moment and missing 4 or 5 first teamers does not hit us anywhere near as badly as it does most other teams.
It's taken us 15 years of Super League to get there, but at last we look good across the park, in attack and defence with players such as Riley (couple of horrors last night admittedly) and Vinnie Anderson who probably wouldn't have been first choice at the start of the season doing really well. Players like Grix and Bridge who have showed potential for years but had terrible injury records are now meeting expectations. The bench of our first choice 17 would probably be something like Higham, Solomona, Wood and Harrison/Grix which does show how strong we can be if we get to the business end of the season with a near full squad.
Anyway, I think if you get your go forward sorted and get Holdsworth and Ratchford on the pitch, I reckon you'll win a few more this year. A win at the DW would do nicely thank you.

| Another year, another set of idiots look old enough to get served alchohol. Factor in the success of last year and Warrington finds itself with a real vermin problem atm, not just on here but at the games too. Only gonna get worse to with the summer holidays approaching and the possibility of another final appearance. Oh joy.
