| Mostly agree Faddy and Middleman, i don't think any one is wanting Marc for free and they shouldn't expect to. Although still under contract Chase for whatever reason wanted away and Salford paid up and i think the reason you got him so cheap (relatively) was the loan deal for Marc. Things seem to have changed a little since i first posted that 2 Cas players had told me that Marc wanted to stay at Cas and now other clubs are rumoured to want him. The ideal outcome would be for the player to be at the club he wants to be at (whichever that may be) and Salford get a fair price for him. That last condition will be the hard part as neither the buying club or Salford will be happy. If he leaves i just hope its with a Wembley appearance on his CV and i know the superb Cas fans will carry on cheering him until the last minute of the last game.

You may find the Doc sells him to anyone but Cas. Not sure he has been that impressed with the club.

I don't think Salford will be interested in the money. Marc's value is that he could be used as a lever to prise a decent prop or hooker (two positions we're a bit short in for next season) away from another club (provided Marc can agree terms, obviously). If it's true you've sold Clark and Huby, then I suspect you're well down the pecking order. Current favourites are Huddersfield, I reckon. Straight swap for Shaun Lunt.
And I suspect Red Willow is right. Some of your fans don't help your case.

It seems half back Jamie Ellis has joined Huddersfield from Castleford.
Some rumours suggest Robinson is Featherstone bound from the Giants.

Salary cap - you're havin a laugh.: |
|
| He will probably end up at Cas, providing they stump up the cash. Interesting if they are depending on a cup final appearance to be able to put in a bid for him though.

I'd really hate too think that he will end up there.
If he has ambition to better himself as has been suggested going to Cas is a sideways move at best, he has the talent too be playing for a top side and he has the quality too be a high quality player, he doesn't have the back bone too be one but that's another matter.
I personally hope the Doc refuses too let him go unless it's a player swap, he is hardly needing the cash that rugby league players sell for.

| Another possibilty would be for the Salford club to put him out on loan again for his final year and not neccessarily with Tigers.
I must admit that relationships have probably strained to the point of no return between Tigers and Salford. I can see both clubs not wanting to deal with each other in the future.
Happy times eh.

I bet Sneyd would be more use in a rough house than you. By the way do you actually go to the games only I don't think you no what you are talking about. I hope Sneyd does what is best for himself, we did what was best for us when we let him go, personally if we cannot win the cup then I hope Castleford do, and Sneyd gets a winners medal.
You don't like Swinton you don't like Castleford I bet really you don't like yourself.

Personally I hope Salford do what is best for Salford.
Couldn't care less what Sneyd thinks.

'Course they have. That's why the Salford club readily agreed to the request to the game being brought forward to Saturday night without stopping to think. It's because the 2 clubs don't get on.
Mind,Powell and Harris really don't like each other.

| I was about to post the same, while our fans will have given us a bad reputation in the eyes of Koukash, should negotiations need to happen between the clubs they still will, as proven at our request to move the fixture.
If we want Sneyd, We're going to have to pay for him, and I'm sure deals will be done between clubs in the future.

| Over on TotalRL, the rumour mill has spat out the little nugget that Cas have signed Luke Gale. If this is true, then they're maybe assuming they won't get Marc Sneyd (unless they're going to go for the famous Salford 'four half-backs' set up).
I still think he'll go to whichever club can offer up a prop or a hooker in exchange.

| Jamie Ellis is OOC and said to be on his way so Gale could be seen as a replacement for him.

Do you really believe that what is best for Salford is to keep a player who wants to be somewhere else? Particularly if that player is first choice where he currently plays, but is unlikely to be if he returns to Salford? Dream on!
A player retained against his wishes is an unhappy player and unhappy players don't perform. So who wins? Nobody! The club's interests and the player's interests are not separate.
