| Would you rather a) have a crowd of 2,700 but watch us win to go level on points with Catalan in 4th, or b) get crowds of 10,500+ like Hull FC, get beat and be bottom of the league?

This is a really tough question at the moment, in my opinion. I love watching Salford win as much as anyone, Rugby League is the only sport I follow so I don't have anyone else to get that feeling from. I also want to be watching Salford for a long, long time yet though & if we continue with crowds of 2700 I can't see a future for the club going off what has been said over the past week.
So, painfully, option 'b'.

But who’s to say if Hull are beaten in the 8’s by Leigh or Bradford and are subsequently relegated that they’ll maintain those crowds or even continue to exist if they’ll don’t achieve promotion again at the first few attempts? I would take the 2 points infront of 2,700 all day long.
Yes it was a shocker, but a) United were at home at the same time (also on Sky), b) it was mother’s day and c) we’re still trying to shake off that disappointing result against Saints. We need to be beating Widnes at home next, as well as Wigan on Easter Monday. That would give us a massive boost.

It's all hypothetical thinking obviously. Hull seem to just about keep plodding on and still draw the big crowds though, something I'm obviously jealous of. I'd much more happily take a middle ground of 6-7k crowds AND us winning over both of those options.
Cas is every bit as important as Widnes, capitulate there and we'll probably be looking at 3k (give or take 500) again for the Widnes game. If we beat Cas then we'll be sitting somewhere between 4th-6th, unbeaten in 4 games going in to the Widnes match. If we can manage that we should hopefully be drawing 5k even with it being a thursday night match.

But the Salford supporting part of my brain says a couple of things...
1. We'll win at Cas, draw a decent crowd for Widnes then get tonked sending us back to where we were.
2. We'll lose at Cas, then draw a mediocre crowd for Widnes.
3. The unthinkable choice. We win at Cas, draw a decent crowd for Widnes and win well, hopefully securing a few more bums on seats.
We all know option three is unlikely, and that we have a habit of squandering good fortune when it comes to us.

My thoughts 100%. Always hoping for number 3 but our past record is definitely against us!
Edit: Just to add though, the way the team have played the last few matches, I actually believe it's possible for once instead of it being a fairytale that could happen if Cas & Widnes happen to get 7 injuries each during the match.

| It was just a bad day for people to come, move on to the next game. My advice to the club is stop moaning about it on social media and go out and get peoples attention. Vickers thinks 7 wins out of the last 9 will bring the crowds in... Is he daft. The club should do offers like they did begging of last season where you could get 3 tickets for £50. They have two weeks to widnes game now and they should advertise the game around salford, go around schools put it on radio etc..

| Vickers and MK need to be careful not to slip into the same mindset as the previous owner.
'We've done this, loads will come...Why isn't anyone coming?'
There's always more that could be done, and resting on laurels is a recipe for disaster.

In fairness to all concerned (past & present) I honestly believe that Salford is a much harder sell than other smaller towns in Superleague with far fewer recreational choices. I can recall the club employing the guy from Warrington who had a huge impact on helping them grow their attendances. What did he achieve at Salford? I think he gave up after 6 months and admitted defeat.
