As I said straight after the London game,he needs to play an extra prop in the second row,maybe McPherson, and that will strengthen the pack.

Takes a bit off pressure off Murphy who must brick it every time a kick comes towards him with our 'fans' ready to cheer ironically for every one he collects safely. Good to see Owen involved again. Not really done anything wrong yet is always the one to miss out.

If McGoldrick isn’t injured I find it strange that he would be overlooked to play the fullback position considering he has experience of playing there. Poor Murphy’s confidence must be shot after recent games. The kid needs sending back to Wigan to regain his confidence in an environment he’s accustomed to.

It could very well be psychological - he,as club captain,has been through a lot and will have respect,I imagine,for the recently sacked head coach.I don't think the best sports psychologist could lift the players for this game but as it's Salford,an unexpected turn of events is more than possible.
