Crash, bang, wallop back down to earth. Good job Campese, Lunt and Kelly weren't playing. Clearly a lack of attitude from certain players was the difference. Credit to Hull KR their attitude and enthusiasm won them the game even with a depleted squad. Gee Whiz conceding 44 points hurts but to concede 44 to the basement club with a depleted squad destroys me. Was there an element of complacency? Did the Evalds / O'Brien fullback alteration disrupt the dynamics of our attack ?. Absolutely lost for words. Gutted ain't the word.

Not saying g we have the right to beat anyone, but ffs on current form we should be beating an injury stricken bottom of the league.
I know it's a reality check and its along way to go but points from games like this could be the difference between the split.

Bottom line is your a bottom 4 team that has taken advantage of having a full squad available when others are struggling. Reckon that was your level today,

Had to listen to that in worrk and it was heart breaking.

Honestly thought that scoring first was the opening of a heavy Hull KR defeat, well done to them though. Blair sounded quite unstoppable so doubt Lui missing was a big factor.

Very very important that we win on Friday against Catalans after a very good win for them.

A quick critical analysis for those who didnt go :-

Evalds 4
Carney 6
S`au 4
Josh 7
Johnston 7
O`Brien 7
Dobson 8
Koppy 8
Lee 6
George 8
Jonah 6
Masala 4
Flan 5
Tomkins 6
Joseph 4
Lannon 6
Walne 5

Ref Hewer 3 - always reacts to the crowd - shouts of `forward`heard every minute at Caravan Park.

The loss of Lui was pivotal as Niall no threat in attack & poor in defence dropping an early up and under which led to Rervers gaining momentum and points.. In the second half GOB moved to FB and we were a threat again. Where do we fit NE into this system? Its a tricky one for the Coaches but the improvement in the second half showed they are on the case. Niall at hooker maybe.

Junior is a fans favourite but we have a Diamond on the wing yet he is as much use as a chocolate tea pot with the assistance he is getting from his centre. Maybe we should switch Junior and Jonah or play Carney on the left wing outside Josh Griffin. Junior in the pack could be a smart move with his off load game & big hits.

Murdoch was not at the races today - substituted in the 1st half as well dropping a key ball near the line which would have given us momentum.

HKR - Blair won it for them but Hull FC should win the derby easily.

Evalds was rusty but it's clear GOB has to be first choice full back going forward. The switch in the second half gave us back that threat we have seen so far this season. Tim has said he doesn't see Evalds as a full back but more a centre so we shall see where his career goes I guess.

I thought a lot out there today were poor. KR at times were easily winning the ruck and why we were giving so many penalties away. Bad day at the office or the wrong mentality of thinking would be an easy day?

Lee had a so so game. In defence he put some big tackles in but he was to blame for a couple of there tries. He did though, when he moved in to the halves in the second half offer us more than GOB had in the first and was surprised they took him off when they did as we were very much on the front foot at the 65th minure mark.

Although he took his try well I just don't get Johnson. He is a quick and strong lad but that skip and jump as he reaches the defender loses him all momentum. In defence he cost us some yards and drop outs today. That said, if we only actually used him and Carney as wingers they can be, we would score so much more down the sides. I lost count of the times KR created 3 on 2's out wide against us but we simply don't do that when we have the option as both Sa'u and Griffin do not put that extra pass in. If I was the winger outside them two I would be cheesed off at the lack of service. Against Wigan in pre season I though it showed when JJ played centre to Carney and we opened them up so many times down that side but have not gone back to that again.

G. Griffin and Kopchazk were good today but the rest of the pack just weren't up to scratch.

2 big games coming up this weekend and if we are to make a push to be in the right places come the end of the season we need to be much better than that today

OK Smartar$e - you see Evalds in this system they are playing? A great finisher & turn of foot so- acting half back could be a role. Did you go today? Presume you are happy then with Juniors service to Carney? The day job? Yes its given up already and I will be reading League Express at 9.30 on Monday. Again I ask - Did you go today?

Have said a few times Evalds to hooker, Peter Edwards did that with great aplomb.

Speed, can tackle, has a good pass there's nothing really stopping the club trying him there.

As for him at centre again would work, maybe it is a reaction to no Carney next season when we are a back line player down with one waiting in the wings.

No need to be like that.
I didn't go today but going today has no relevance to your ideas on Evalds and Sau.
I'm glad Niall played today because I wanted him to have his chance. I think he's a tremendous player. He's not a hooker.
Junior has done well since he lost weight but he's not a forward and never will be.
The point I suppose I'm making is that players either perform in their positions or they are replaced. You don't just change their rôles to accommodate them

Agree MR re Edwards & that I think was in the days of contested scrums too (could be wrong there) - many Twitterers tonight feel NE could possibly replace Tomkins on the bench so maybe they dont feel the same as Bonita either.
