Blimey first it was a £5 ticket, now it's free. What next a £5 incentive and a free pint for showing up?

That could be the final nail in the coffin for season tickets next year , got a faimly one this year with 2 x adults and 2 x kids even though we only have 1 son , it's allowed us to bring a mate or 2 along the season to get them into rugby. I've had to miss games through them being rearranged verses Hull and Warrington already and now free entry. I know some people will have a pop at me for being negative anf the fact that season ticket holders will see the benefit next year etc etc but it feels that I'm being had over for committing at the start of the season

I haven't done the maths, but if you bought at the early bird price are you sure you're being done over if you worked out what it has cost you per game?

Personally it doesn't bother me. I'd much prefer a bigger crowd and atmosphere over knowing some people were there on a freebie ticket. Let's be honest what crowd would we get against Catalan in this form without the incentive? 2'500?

Great gesture and one which should be made far & wide. You can`t sell a seat after the match. Hopefully profitable lines will be on sale - outside the stadium concourse - programmes should be a sell out - shirts etc - time for the sales staff to find ideas to ensure its a success. Getting everyones email addy would be a start..

Andy above - the Dr is not thick and no doubt will compensate all season ticket holders for next year.

I agree with getting the ground as full as possible ,I do remember a quote from the Dr though saying the days of free tickets are gone , along with we're no longer a selling club , to Hock won't play and we'll sue if he does but unless I've missed something all these have been back tracked on. Get people in the ground , reward loyalty though too.
Have to wait and see with regards to next year , but seems to be a recent history of back tracking ,a few false promises and Salford almost becoming a parody of their owner. I've got the utmost respect and thanks for the DR and hope he syats , I just want some consistency on and off the pitch

If the Dr thinks all the people who will take advantage of this will be Salford fans or future Salford fans he's sadly deluded. All he is doing is throwing more money away than if he had charged for tickets.

I am sure I read the Dr had promised to assist the season ticket holders for next season - it seems he will if,history elsewhere in the sport is repeated.

I cannot believe the club are offering free admission, I am all for offering incentives like the club did against Warrington.
As a season ticket holder this is a bridge too far, why buy a season ticket, this is from the man who said the days of free tickets have gone, what is he trying to prove! Is he trying to bring the whole situation of our fan base to the table?

Free admission is a stupid strategy.
There is no point.
It will cost the club because some of the free entrants would have paid,and secondary sales of merchandise etc won't make up for that.
No,the only reason he's making this experiment is to prove,or disprove, a theory he has.
He's checking out whether the people of Salford are interested at ANY price

And on the day he's competing with the Barton Air Show! Traffic chaos and kids demanding that their parents take them to see the air displays and ground events.

Amazingly all the car parking at the airport has been pre-sold and Peel are suggesting that people go and park at the AJ Bell or the Trafford Centre and get the bus.......

Ridiculous that they suggest parking on the Stadium site but don't mention there's a game on!

It's gonna be a nightmare getting to the ground.

The price is secondary it's the product that sells. The problem is the Salford public aren't sold on buying an inferior product that always fades, regularly malfunctions and never quite performs as it should.

How do you know the Dr isn't thick? He could be rich and thick. I look forward to my compensation next year though.

In hindsight I would have paid on match days for the south stand. £15 each for the first 3 home games, £ 5 for Warrington, Free for Catalan etc and then full price for the decreasing matches not on offer.

And before anybody starts I have had season tickets going back to the U16 Junior Red days. I'm now 47.
