| Recalled from his brief loan spell at Halifax and joins Leigh with immediate effect.
Very good signing for Leigh, building an impressive squad down the East Lancs. Whoever finishes in the bottom four this season should be worried.

| Great signing for them, wouldn't want to go anywhere near Beaumont though, seems like bit of a bell end, pity though as I like Leigh and the people.

Do you ever have a good word to say about anyone?
This is what Derek Beaumont has just said:
“I am delighted to capture a new young player to our side who has experience of around one hundred Super League games in a position we are currently struggling with due to injuries. I’d like to thank (Salford Red Devils owner) Marwan Koukash for his assistance with the negotiations regarding this matter that allows Andrew to play for Leigh Centurions. It is always pleasing to see a fellow club owner act in the best interests of the player rather than the club."
Try as I might I'm struggling to see much bell-endery there

| Good signing for them. Used to have soft spot for Leigh but over the last year the arrgoance from their supporter has made me dislike them. If you go in there board its cringeworthy, they think they are world beaters and the whole FFMM thing is even more toe curling. Nothing wrong with them being confident and moving the right direction but the fans need bumping back down to earth. What they did to Wigan St Pats, in challenge cup with them only making £68 from the gate and not enetering this year, tell you everything you need to know about Leigh. I would like to add, I'd like see them back in SL and Leigh not bad for a beano, oh and I miss the chant "we only want one try"

TBF it was only a few weeks ago he was berating Marwan on twitter for trying to sign Ryan Brierley. saying some quite disrespectful things.
So this on 180 seems a little manufactured " It is always pleasing to see a fellow club owner act in the best interests of the player rather than the club."'"

With every respect I think Leigh had a very successful season last year and have every right to be arrogant in the division they are in. Perhaps it's the countless false dawns (and corners turned) from last year at the AJ Bell Stadium that have clouded your memory of all the propaganda and hype from Salford fans this time last year dreaming of SL and Challenge Cup glory with the big signings that they 'toe curlingly' built into the false gods they inevitably proved to be!
As for the Wigan St Pats Cup tie. Leigh were the away team in that fixture and would have got exactly the same from the gate as Wigan St Pats did. The home team chose to hire the stadium, and its running costs, for the match the same that Leigh Centurions have to do on a week by week basis. So Leigh Centurions did nobody over in any way.

And TBF Dr Koukash was lying about what he had and hadn't done. That little spat was settled and laughed about the very next day with a few phone calls being exchanged.
Derek and Marwan are basically the same. Very passionate about their respective clubs and very keen to defend them to the hilt.
This Press Release is in no way manufactured as Derek and Marwan have a very good and positive working relationship.

He was having public spats with other Clubs fans on social media. Not forgetting the Brierley thing. Of course he's going to be nicey-nicey after signing Dixon.

Mate, I agree Salford fans are cringeworthy too. All you have to do is take a glance at twitter. Everyones up hos behind, granted I love what the guys done for the club. None of level head Salford fans I speak to had us down for challenge cup last year, I always thought we'd struggle last year with an entire new team. This season? I'm hoping for a positon 5th to 7th and I'd be happy with semi final CC. As previoualy said, look on twitter and Salford has there own, toe curling fans, there a lady to frequently has my hand covering my eye, I won't mention the name as I think she craves the attention.
I did say, there nothing wrong with being confident but fans and you board of directors have your fans beleiving you world beaters. I maybe wrong but when Fev were winning everything under Powell, I don't recall their fans behaving such a embarrassing behaviour. Suppose all clubs, including Salford has their deluded section, we had, still have it over a certain John Wilkinson who bled the club dry.
Can't agree over St Pats, has it got that bad a amature club refuses to enter challenge cup because it's not self sufficient if they get a bigger draw? Whole gate should of gone to St Pats. Home clubs have fiddled cup games for years though.

I'm sure the point St Pat's was trying to make was that, even if they got the full gate receipts, they would have still only got a figure barely scraping in to three figures rather than Leigh depriving them of a £60 share, not forgetting that the RFL would have also taken their share of the gate.

Leigh just play there too though mate. They incur the same costs week in week out too. Leigh get no income from the concession stands or any of the bars in the stadium on match days either. The only income they do receive is from ticket sales alone. Leigh Sports Village is a private stadium (albeit mostly owned by Wigan Council). Leigh are merely tenants there. If, as you say, Wigan St Pats only made £68 from the Challenge Cup match, then Leigh Centurions as a club would have probably received less as the away team.

250,000 fans at £10 each surely should've earned them a few quid.
